"I liked the offerings available at Bao's Pastry. I don't think there are any other pastry shops around so this is a lucky discovery. The place was busy, but the server was attentive. "The pastries are as good as any I have ever had. Not much seating so mostly take out, but the desserts and pastries are absolutely decadent. Don't forget breakfast and lunch options are now available. Only reason not 5 star on atmosphere is because hardly any seating but their new location is coming soon with plenty of seating."

"My husband and I always try to stop at Bao's when we are in Valparaiso. We were out late and never thought they would be open. It was on a Saturday night about 9:30 pm. They were open and we were able to get some yummy pastries. One of the owners waited on me and I knew she had to be tired, but she was still so welcoming and helpful."
