"The food looked good from all the items my friends ordered. My eggs over English muffins were OK. Where they really excel in my opinion is their coffee.
What they can improve on is their air quality. I had to go out for some fresh air half way through my meal just because the air is quite stuffy."

"The coffee is great, but there is not much of a selection for the tea lover. Their food is pretty good, although bland at times and too busy. I don't go for the food because it is overpriced a bit and every time I have ordered, they have heated it up in the microwave, especially the soup. The pour over coffee and their in-house roasted coffee is great! The s..." Read more

"This is hipster heaven. While we very much enjoyed our Ethiopian and Yemen coffees when we finally got them (25 minutes after ordering, and it wasn't crowded), some parts of the process are completely unnecessary and don't improve the cup. While measuring the beans on a teeny scale and heating the water small amounts at a time may enhance the experience of..." Read more

"I like this place. The food is pretty good, the coffee is spectacular (and prepared very carefully), and the booze concoctions are some of the best I've tasted (try the peppery coconut milk martini). The atmosphere is fine-comfy chairs, metal everywhere. The prices are very reasonable for what you get. What keeps me from loving Urban steam is the service...i..." Read more

"Starbucks doesn't draw foam art on my lattes. The coffee drinks at Urban Steam are small and powerful. No trentas, no ventis and no one annoying me from nearby tables with caffeine jitters propelled cackles or tabletop finger tapping or spastic leg bouncing. These are definite positives for this industrial garage turned coffee shop venue. The menu..." Read more

"I've been to Urban Steam twice. The first time was a 5-star experience, and the second was a 1 or 2-star experience, so we'll call it 3 1/2 for now until I give them another chance. The first time I went to Urban Steam was great-- I had the Blue Collar waffle and a Turkish Coffee, which was amazing. I love their industrial vibe, and the staff was fr..." Read more

"Good coffee, and a good enviroment. What keeps me from preferring this place is the pretentious feel every customer seems to have when I'm there. Not to mention some of the baristas aversion to anyone less than a coffee connoisseur."

"Hate to rain on everyone's five star parade here, but i've experienced many coffee houses across the nation and I didn't feel it was that special. I've only tried this place once and went out of my way to do so, but I'm not dying to go back. My Americano was ok, a little on the over extracted side. The atmosphere is industrial and didn't seem very comfort..." Read more

"I'm sure it's just me. While I'm an aspiring foodie, I must not be a coffee aficionado to this degree. I grind my own coffee at home, and love the concoctions I make. For my first visit here, I ordered a $3 Americano. It was good, but was it that good? Probably not."
