"I just discovered Bao’s this week, and oh man, I think a monster has been created. Their pastries and desserts are phenomenal in both taste and technique, and there is a large variety to choose from each day. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable too!"

"This is a great addition to Valparaiso and even NWI. Good selection most of the time. Wide variety of not too sweet desserts. They also have breads and banquets some times. The kitchen in back always seems to be busy making the food onsite. I've been there three times now and every visit has been very positive."

"This place is amazing. I am actually not happy about it because I don't usually eat dessert unless it is actually worth it and everything here is perfection. We now go at least weekly and everything we have had is so amazingly delicious it becomes our new favorite dessert. The prices are amazing for the quality and level of baking skill achieved here."

"Very special, a gem of an establishment, and Hallelujah, a source for real French bread in Valpo. The pastries are authentic and just as delicious as they are beautiful. The owners and the staff are kind and friendly. I'd have this place in our town in my dreams, and here it is in real life!"

"I do not have much experience with French pastries, and did not know what to expect or what the names of anything was when I came in. I mentioned this to the staff and they were so helpful and patient, explaining the names and tastes of each item and giving recommendations. Everything I tried was incredible, and I am so excited to have this gem downtown."
