"Authentic Thai food in Newtown. I was back to Bangkok after the first bite of the pad ka praw I ordered. Great location on King St and super friendly staff."

"I’ve been going here for about 15 years. They’re an extraordinarily consistent Thai restaurant, and might even be the best in Newtown at this point."

"Great Thai food, always fresh and menu changes reasonably often with what is in season. Only issue ever has been curry puffs still cold in the middle. In saying that they solved this with no issues when bought to the staffs attention."

"Great food always! I highly recommend the BBQ octopus and the soft shell crab. Although, it took quite a while for our food to come out and didn't come out together (we received our rice a long time after receiving our curry to name an example)"

"Great food. Friendly service. Nice place for a cheap lunch. The chilli Basil tofu was the best I've had for a lunch time special."

"Food was good but service not so. And the tables were grimey and sticky to the touch - just doesn't make for a satisfying experience."

"Great Thai restaurant and always delivers great food. No wonder it’s always busy. Love the volcanic chicken and the red duck curry."

"Same great tastes as the branches in Waterloo & Croydon. Favourite is definitely the chicken green curry. Also tried the chicken basil stir fry & it had a great wok charred flavour to it. The also do lunch specials which range from slightly under $10 - $15 for set meals. Staff are friendly & attentive."

"We used to live near the Doytao in Waterloo, now we live near the one in Newtown. Happy days! Always consistent and super tasty. Doytao is not your average Thai. Interesting dishes line sweet and sour whole fish and stir fried morning glory compliment the usuals. Not the cheapest Thai, but well with it!"

"Most of the time the food is decent, sometimes it's a bit tasteless, maybe it depends on who cooks your food."

"First time visiting Newtown! We came across this lovely little Thai place. Great food!! Most authentic one I have tasted so far. Staff were all cheerful and were keen to chat. Great value for money and your tummy! Loved this place. Will definitely go back when we’re in NSW ❤️"

"The food is definitely authentic Thai. We ordered green curry, Tom yum goong and basil chicken with rice. My family loves the rich Thai flavour. All the dishes are nice and flavourful. Feels like stepping into Bangkok’s street food. Worth a visit."
