"YUM!!! Had the most enjoyable dinner experience here. I've never had Brazilian food before but this exceeded any expectation I had. I ordered a shrimp moqueca. It came in a sizzling stone pot with a side of rice. The moqueca was like a tomato based stew that had various vegetables and shrimp. The rice was standard but mixed together it was delicious. "Good.... REALLY good. Dried beef with cassava. Plantains. Black bean soup. The best Caldos ever. Feijuado. DENDE!! We ordered many dishes and shared... all were GREAT! Drinks were strong. Servers were friendly, good with suggestions and fast. Highly recommend. A bit out of the way, but definitely worth hunting down. You'll be happy you went!"

"A very pleasant place to enjoy typical sea food in traditional Muqueca dishes . The service was good and the place is full of artistic paints that reflect South American spirit! We started with Caipirinia with Fried Yuca and dried beef! "YUM! loved everything about this cute little restaurant. Great food and drinks, friendly and attentive service. It's well lit and no frills - so not particularly romantic ambience or anything but it's the real deal. Had a bomb seafood muqueca- I would highly recommend this place."

"Amazing. Sitting at home, digesting my meal. Felt compelled to review this incredible place. This is the most I can say. Going to sleep now. P.S. clearly, the people who don't have a lot of experience with Brazilian food or haven't lived there don't know what they're talking about. This is the most authentic place I've been to since I lived in Rio. I just w..." Read more

"I lived in Brazil once upon a time. This place is totally legit. Not only the Bahian specialties, the feijoada is the real thing too. We tried the feijoada, the shrimp bobó, and a couple of flavors of moqueca, and it was all delicious. The only complaint is the caipirinhas are a bit too bitter. They need to chop the ends of the times and avoid crushing the l..." Read more

"I visited Muqueca for the first time last night and was thoroughly impressed. While it's a no frills restaurants, it's super clean and the servers are excellent. I never had Brazilian food before and I appreciated our waitress's patient with our questions. They have a variety of drink options including beer, wine, juices and caipirinhas for reasonable price..." Read more

"For starters, we ordered the Mandioca com Carne de Sol (Yucca and dried beef), and a side of plantains. You ever go a restaurant and they ask if you would like hot sauce? Usually my first thought is "yea sure, I'll have some of your mild sauce". Listen, I LOVE heat. So let me tell you exactly how I got played with that hot sauce. I dipped a piece..." Read more

"Nice little place with colourful decoration. When I was there, I figured there were quite some Brazilians dining at that place wich is always a good sign. Service was very friendly and my special wish was no problem. I tried the Moqueca and it was excellent."

"A great opportunity to taste delicious flavors that you do not find in typical restaurants. The "muqueca" seafood dish is truly special. Other Brazilian specialties such as "feijoada" of mixed meats stewed with beans, shrimp "bobo" with coconut flavor, and crab soup are sensational. If some people in your group prefer "standard fare," there are many menu..." Read more
