"Muqueca feels like an authentic Brazilian local joint, lots of families and older people that I didn't know were in the area! Fried yucca served with a ranch-like dip, reinforced the potato fry taste. The yucca texture lends itself to looking like a natural thousand layer potato which was pretty cool. It does get a little dry on the inside though. Also got..." Read more

"Nice waitstaff. They messed up in our order and gave the wrong food to the wrong person. Food needs salt but as we know restaurant now can't add salt so it is what it is. I like the mussels appetizer and the steak the best"

"Good food but beware they will add 18% gratuity to your bill even for 2 people. I didn't see any sign anywhere where it said that a gratuity will be added."

"This Brazilian was interesting. First off they didn't skimp on the liquor in the caipirinha. It was great. Food was different. The seafood paella was very buttery which i didn't know it had butter. Not bad but not great but the other soupy seafood dish was good"

"I had high expectations of this place and it left me disappointed. The caipirinhas were a bit on the sweet side, but still delicious nonetheless. The food was honestly a bit lackluster - it wasn't particularly memorable. Salt was needed in multiple parts on my dish, from the fried fish to the potatoes. My friends had similar comments for their dishes. ..." Read more

"My husband said this was a really good place so he took me and some friends here. I ordered the feijoada completa....holy crap it was the saltiest dish I have ever eaten in my life.  I kept giving it second chances and digging around to see if I could find a better spot that was less salty but I ended up just feeling disgusting and bloated by the end, with m..." "3.5 stars! I've only had Brazilian food a few times, so I'm not sure what the standards are. Objectively, this place wasn't terrible, but it wasn't stellar either. I ordered the Fish Muqueca, which came with flavored rice and fish stew/sauce (?). The Fish Muequeca itself came with onions, tomato, cilantro, and pieces of fish. The accompaniment fish stew/..." "I have come many times, whether with colleagues or alone, to enjoy their authentic Brazilian fare.  Definitely a favorite for Brazilians-I always hear Portuguese in the clientele.  The service is friendly and the restaurant small and comfy.  Not fine dining, but the food does not disappoint.  I head there often on my trips to Cambridge, it's like a brief sto..." "We ordered two meals and decided to share .. The banana lasagna and vegetable stroganoff .. We enjoyed the banana lasagna very much but the stroganoff was not up to par ... The menu had no mention of tofu (if it had I would not have ordered the dish) and the only vegetables were mushrooms. I am glad I tried this place but would not recommend."

"I've missed Brazilian food. When I was in Brazil a month ago I had moqueca in different regions of Brazil literally all the time and they were so good.. Here at Muqueca it wasn't bad, but it's all diluted. We had the calamari and fish moqueca, which came in a small pot with tomato broth? I expected something much thicker and richer and this dish was..." Read more

"Tasty, decently priced Brazilian seafood stews with freshly squeezed juices = a nice tropical respite in an otherwise grey and cold season. The fried yucca is the way to go for an app- it's fried perfectly, and that mustardy dipping sauce is a great compliment. The boy had the feijoida completa, which was a lot of good and heavy food made tastier with the h..." Read more

"Service staff were attentive and friendly. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food you get. My party of two ordered the fish muqueca, calamari, and some sort of seafood rice dish I can't recall the name of. Overall I felt the taste to be pretty bland. They relied on the sauces to add any flavor and stopped by our table twice to ask if we had hot sauce..." Read more

"Muqueca was full of hits and misses for me. The flavors were excellent. I had the mariscada which they label as a must try. It lives up to the hype, spiced well, and thickened/sweetened a bit with coconut milk. It was loaded with good seafood, including shrimp and crab meat. The shrimp were huge and juicy, cooked perfectly. The dish also featured musse..." Read more

"The caipirinhas are good, yet everything was lacking the flavor I desired/expected from the menu and presentation. Not bad at all, don't get me wrong. "A-OK". The Picanha however was def sub par. 3.5 stars"

"Their seafood rice casserole, their spin on the traditional paella, is pretty darn good, and I would definitely come back to eat it again. It tasted similar to the authentic ones I had in Spain, just with a Brazilian twist, and I'm all for it!Unfortunately, Muqueca falls flat on a few of its dishes, namely, its Shrimp and Fish Moqueca and Sirloin Ste..." "Good food! My fish and shrimp moqueca simply needed more salt or seasoning ... was very bland. But overall, very good. The flan is the best flan I've ever tasted! Delicious!  Great service and great presentation of food. Would definitely return!"
