"This is a tough review. My wife and I went after reading positive reviews and looking at the pictures of the food on Google. Isa is located near the Post Office and that neighborhood isn't exactly a great place to go on date night. We were happy to find parking at Isa and we were met by a very pleasant wait staff. It was cozy and clean and we were excited t..." Read more

"3 stars pretty much say it. Food is good. Though overpriced. Atmosphere is bleh. Nothing special, crowded and noisy. Service, in our case was poor. Perhaps they have some other better servers. We won't return to find out. Overall, a disappointment."

"The food was quite good, although the Caesar salad could have used a touch of acid, and the salted cod fritters could have had the fish shine through a little more. Our service on the other hand, not so much. Our server was absent for most of our dining experience, although the hostess did her best to make up for it. We did get to hear the bartender speaking..." "Very nice place, the octopus appetizer was delicious but the dinner entrees were a little disappointing (we had the arctic char and the shrimp ajillo). Overall it was a nice place with very courteous staff but in my opinion overly priced for what it was."

"It was fine. Quite expensive for what you get honestly. The food wasn't phenomenal and wasn't bad. It was just fine. For $100 I should have gotten more food or better quality. They gave us a tiny quesadilla for 17$. I wouldn't recommend it."

"Nice atmosphere, servers, outdoor seating area. Food was good but definitely not worth the price. Likely won't be back for a 2nd visit."

"Not very impressed for the price. Our seats were cramped and it was extremely loud. Nothing to dampen the noise, and it wasn't even that busy. The music added to the noise because it was too loud. I felt that the service was a little awkward. The table was so small, and I had to move things around multiple times to make room. The cheese plate was ok; I enjo..." Read more

"Good, fresh food, especially the homemade pasta make this a good eating experience. The problem is the noise. Terrible echoes and there were times I couldn't hear the waitress. They may do with some noise canceling panels on the walls or ceiling."

"My wife and I went there with our daughter for a bunch of appetizers. Everything was very good… not great. The salt cod fritters were delectable. The fries were light and not greasy. The draft brew selection was quite limited and I do like my IPA's. My wife's margarita was fine. My problem with going out to local restaurants is that my wife is..." Read more

"We went for dinner last night and were promptly seated. I had the steak and he had a salad. The food was amazing. I loved my steak and fries. The atmosphere was great too. We sat outside and the patio was nice and clean with pretty lights. The only complaint I had was that the service was terrible. The server was very nice, but the restaurant was very empty..." "Two opinions here. Mine and my dining partner. I liked the octopus and the fennel salad and loved the rabbit. I did not like the ceviche. My partner liked all three appetizers, but did not enjoy his pasta with lamb as the lamb was overcooked. I agreed with his later point. But what spoiled it for me was the service. While it was efficient, our waitres..." Read more

"With few places open on July 4th- we popped in this little place. It's beautiful, small and immaculate inside. The deck is quaint and trendy. Isa isbut airy. My companion and I chose the charcuterie to start. We were very impressed. We both selected Lobster Tostada from the starters section and again, it was delicious. We saved room for dessert - pretty and..." Read more

"We came in around 6:00pm and it didn't look that busy since we were able to snag a table for two. We each ordered a bottle of beer since we are not avid wine drinkers and it didn't seem like they had that many choices, which was fine.I ordered the bistro steak and thought it was cooked the way I like it (medium). My bf ordered the rabbit pasta and wa..." Read more

"Stopped for late lunch mid afternoon on a Sunday. Only one other couple in restaurant. It appeared as they were really set up for Sunday brunch which didn't appeal to us. Lunch menu was limited. I tried something different and had the duck carnitas taco which was bland and tasted more like pork. My wife had the eggplant lasagna which was average. Waitress wa..." Read more

"Our dinners were okay but not great. We started with the watermelon salad for me and the grilled octopus for my husband. We each enjoyed our appetizers although my husband said that the octopus was under seasoned. My husband had the Bolonese for dinner and he said it was okay. I had the rabbit pasta and was surprised that the pasta was sitting in a pool of w..." Read more

"There are some things I really like about Isa: the ambiance is nice; it's more casual and less expensive than the nearby Back Bay Grill, and yet it's a nice spot for a date. It's warm and cozy, it's fancier fare than pub food, they bring out the (delicious) pre-meal bread. Beer and wine selections are limited but "refined", reservations aren't often required..." "Food was good. However, we felt unwelcomed by the staff. We had our young daughter who was well behaved, but it seemed like she was non existent their. Maybe not the best place as a family eatery."

"Nice location, parking out back. Sat at the bar. Bartender not very attentive. Needs to improve with a smile and making sure we are filled up with wine and water. Now to the food-taquitoes are not that great. Would be better with a bite size portion that is hot. Not good once it sits for even a minute. Meatballs are good. Peaches were cooked too much for the..." Read more

"The owners are super nice and very involved. You are bound to meet Suzie at some point, and she just might be your server! ISA is a quiet place tucked in an up-and-coming part of town. They do not accept reservations for parties under 6 people, which I always find annoying and stressful as a patron. Particularly if two people want to go on a Thur/Fri/Sat nig..." Read more

"I have followed Isa on line for a few months. Their social media got me In the door. The food was good. Not special but good. The dessert Was Special. I sampled only appetizers trying to get a better spectrum of the chef. The meatballs were second. A bit dry but real. The menu was a bit eclectic which is great but it needs a few tentpoles. I would ha..." Read more

"If you're sick of lobster on a stick, fried, poached, live, or dead....drop into Isa's. Great salads - the quinoa, bacon and kale made all three ingredients better. Lobster chowder was great. Starters a little on the pricy side ($10-12) but super ambiance and service."
