About Shutter Mart
Shuttermart — San Diego's Interior Shutter Specialist
Shuttermart is a long-established window treatment company based in San Diego, California, specializing in custom interior shutters for homes and offices. With over 70 years of experience in the industry, they position themselves as one of the San Diego area's most trusted shutter providers.
Products
Shuttermart offers three main shutter lines:
Polyclad Shutters — their flagship product, sometimes referred to as plantation shutters. These feature a rigid polyvinyl surface clad over hardwood, making them scratch-, dent-, fade-, and peel-resistant. They're paint-free, low-maintenance, and designed for long-term durability.
Vinyl Shutters — made with a patented Polynesian honeycombed material, these are especially suited for high-moisture areas like bathrooms and kitchens.
Basswood Shutters — individually crafted from kiln-dried, clear-milled hardwoods with precise specifications and hand-inspected for quality. These offer a traditional wood shutter aesthetic with fine detailing like beaded groove joinery.
They also offer door shutters for specialty applications.
Services
Shuttermart provides free in-home design consultations where a professional designer helps customers choose the right shutter style, material, and configuration. Customers can choose between DIY installation or professional installation, which can typically be completed in a single day. Most orders arrive within 6–8 weeks.
They currently run a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" promotion.

The company is headquartered at 9825 Carroll Centre Rd, Ste 400, San Diego, CA 92126 and serves communities across the greater San Diego region, including Chula Vista, Escondido, Oceanside, Rancho Bernardo, and Carlsbad.

"Shuttermart is absolutely the best - both for product and customer service. I have been using them for years - they shuttered my entire former home, and of course I called them back for the new one as well. Jon is wonderful and everyone I have dealt with there is responsive and full of integrity. I am a real estate broker and have them on my referral list."

"An excellent company to do business with. Their service after the sale is top notch. Our shutters were installed in 2010, and just had some of them replaced in 2023 due to sun damage. Just submitted some photos and Shuttermart scheduled the replacement. No hassle at all."

"Shuttermart has been in our home since 2016. We purchased wooden shutters for the front of our home, because it received the morning hot sun, needless to say, it improved the temperature of the house very much. Since then, we have purchased shutters for the entire home ! It is a great company!"

"Shuttermart furnished our entire home over 17 years ago with wooden plantations-style shutters and they have looked great and worked precisely as they were new. When the occasional plastic hinge/pin breaks, Shuttermart has either provided a replacement part, or referred us to someone who's able to do the repair."
