About Shutter Mart
Shuttermart — San Diego's Interior Shutter Specialist
Shuttermart is a long-established window treatment company based in San Diego, California, specializing in custom interior shutters for homes and offices. With over 70 years of experience in the industry, they position themselves as one of the San Diego area's most trusted shutter providers.
Products
Shuttermart offers three main shutter lines:
Polyclad Shutters — their flagship product, sometimes referred to as plantation shutters. These feature a rigid polyvinyl surface clad over hardwood, making them scratch-, dent-, fade-, and peel-resistant. They're paint-free, low-maintenance, and designed for long-term durability.
Vinyl Shutters — made with a patented Polynesian honeycombed material, these are especially suited for high-moisture areas like bathrooms and kitchens.
Basswood Shutters — individually crafted from kiln-dried, clear-milled hardwoods with precise specifications and hand-inspected for quality. These offer a traditional wood shutter aesthetic with fine detailing like beaded groove joinery.
They also offer door shutters for specialty applications.
Services
Shuttermart provides free in-home design consultations where a professional designer helps customers choose the right shutter style, material, and configuration. Customers can choose between DIY installation or professional installation, which can typically be completed in a single day. Most orders arrive within 6–8 weeks.
They currently run a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" promotion.

"The shutters are beautiful but they don't close correctly. Had someone come out from Shuttermart and they still don't close evenly. We were told by him that the shutters cannot be fixed to be even."

"From the beginning to the installation, Shuttermart was the *best* choice of shutters for my 1 bed/1 bath condo here in Hillcrest. Our installation was at a standstill due to me waiting on the delivery of my new windows and Sliding Glass door from another unrelated vendor. But, once those got installed- my beautiful shutters from Shuttermart came, were insta..." Read more

"I got shutters installed from Shuttermart about 15 years ago. They STILL look brand new. So I decided to get them for my bedroom. I couldn’t remember their name from 15 or so years ago so I went to H Depot where they sent a rep out and he quoted me a ridiculous price for one shutter. I then went online and “BINGO” I remembered who did our downstairs. I call..." Read more
