About Shutter Mart
Shuttermart — San Diego's Interior Shutter Specialist
Shuttermart is a long-established window treatment company based in San Diego, California, specializing in custom interior shutters for homes and offices. With over 70 years of experience in the industry, they position themselves as one of the San Diego area's most trusted shutter providers.
Products
Shuttermart offers three main shutter lines:
Polyclad Shutters — their flagship product, sometimes referred to as plantation shutters. These feature a rigid polyvinyl surface clad over hardwood, making them scratch-, dent-, fade-, and peel-resistant. They're paint-free, low-maintenance, and designed for long-term durability.
Vinyl Shutters — made with a patented Polynesian honeycombed material, these are especially suited for high-moisture areas like bathrooms and kitchens.
Basswood Shutters — individually crafted from kiln-dried, clear-milled hardwoods with precise specifications and hand-inspected for quality. These offer a traditional wood shutter aesthetic with fine detailing like beaded groove joinery.
They also offer door shutters for specialty applications.
Services
Shuttermart provides free in-home design consultations where a professional designer helps customers choose the right shutter style, material, and configuration. Customers can choose between DIY installation or professional installation, which can typically be completed in a single day. Most orders arrive within 6–8 weeks.
They currently run a "Buy 2, Get 1 Free" promotion.

"Amazing company that stands behind their products.. I had a couple of them yellow from the outside of the shutters, called them and they immediately replaced the shutters at no charge. In my opinion the best shutter company around. If I could do 10 stars I would!!"

"We have used Shuttermart for 27 years and are very happy with their service and their products!! We have 19 sets of their wood shutters in our house. In all these years, we have only had two that needed repairs when our kids fell onto one and a box got pushed onto the other. Each time they were repaired very quickly and work great! These are very sturdy and..." Read more

"Shutter mart was recommended to me by a close friend in 2016. Long story short, my sales rep, the installer, and the company provided top level service! I absolutely loved my shutters until the day I moved due to selling my home in 2018. I have yet to see a better quality product. My only regret is that I can’t get Shuttermart to install these amazing sh..." Read more

"I need some shutter vain connectors to fix my old shutter, and I couldn't find anywhere. I searched online and find Shuttermart is very close to my working place, so I just went there to see if they happen to have some. Ms. Melita Alfaro was very helpful and found the type I needed. I would give her and Shuttermart ten stars if I could!"

"I had my shutters installed 15 YEARS ago and they look and work as good as the day they were installed! I open and close them EVERY day, but I am always careful to use two hands as I was instructed to prevent stress on the handles. Shutters usually cost a little more than some window coverings, but look so much better and are easier to clean than blinds...." Read more

"They did a terrific job on my living room shutters. The quote was very fair, and they kept me in the loop on when installation was going to happen. The installer was amazing, doing four large windows in under two hours, and they perfect. I can't think of anyplace else I would use."

"We had Shuttermart Wood shutters in our last house that were almost 30 years old and they still looked good and we never had issues with them. We have since purchased a new home that came with shutters made by Hunter Douglas. These "high end" shutters are already falling apart after only 1 year, WTF. We will be ripping this junk out and having Shuttermart..." Read more
