"The place is very chill and laid back. The coffee is delicious and compare to Starbucks is worth the money. The food tastes Fresh and they have a full kitchen in the back so you know you are getting fresh food and not just microwaved eggs. As a Miamian my expectations in food are different from people in Colorado Springs. I been to a few places here with goo..." Read more

"Loved this stop!! The food is creative and full of great flavors.  Its a great local stop with a menu full of variety that won't disappoint. The actual restaurant is a Converted end cap in industrial area but was easy to find as an out of town guest.  The Sierra Madre Azul cornmeal waffles and avocado smash (Add the busted yolk) are the bomb. It's a cute coz..." Read more

"Kind of a weird vibe, with really bitter coffee. I'm clearly not hipster enough to hang out here."

"The glowing review in the Gazette made me do it.  Now I know why I should have stopped at my regular, King's Chef Diner. It's decor is industrial, converted garage ala Stir. Waitress was cheerful but I for $3 I shouldn't have to fetch my own creme and 'sugar' (no Splenda available).Quite busy on Saturday morning and "Blue Collar" @ $10 was jus..." Read more

"Horrible service!  The place is really small and crowded so there is no excuse for slow service.  The servers don't take care of tables in the order seated;more like a homey-hook up system.  Don't waste your time!"

"Always enjoy starting my morning off with there awesome coffee and some breakfast toast. Though sometimes the service can be a little slow due to how many people are coming in. It is not slowed enough to really hurt your plans for the day. Will continue to return."

"The food and service are amazing. We had the bloody Mary, Irish coffee, greasy granny and caprese breakfast and it was all phenomenal. We will be back for sure"

"5 stars to the server and barista. Negative starts to the hostess. She was so rude and almost made us feel like we should turn around. She gave an awful impression of the establishment. It's a shame because the food, the barista and the manager were amazing. I'd recommend this place but just be aware of the rude hostess and first impression she gives you! Ot..." Read more

"Everyone was craving breakfast for lunch .  The Avocado Smash was delicious.  Added scrambled eggs.  The Classic with the thick cut sourdough and Applewood bacon was a hot."

"I stopped in here for the first time today and it was a pleasant experience. Getting here makes you question what kind of place it might be but don't be dissuaded by the end-of-the-road industrial area. There is much to be said for being off the beaten path. The cafe is cozy, has great coffee, and friendly staff. I had a Turkish coffee which was well spiced..." Read more

"Being new to the springs the staff really made me feel welcomed! They have a vast amount of coffee and bar knowledge. Wesley showed astounding customer service and the vibe of the place is cool too. Overall had a great experience and look foward to making urban steam my go to spot!"

"Urban Steam is awful.  They treat customers horribly, their service is terrible.  They have favorite customers that they cater to, everyone else be damned.  The owner has a foul mouth, responds horribly to critiques. At a recent lunch, a small group came in and it took the place over forty-five minutes to get their food out to them,  When two elderly individ..." Read more

"Crummy service, but delicious sweet potato fries. Felt a bit discriminated against for not wearing a beanie, skinny jeans and black horn rimmed glasses, the wait staff gave half our table lunch and 30 minutes later got the other two sandwiches out and pretty much tossed the plates in front of us and were a bit pissy after we asked about the two missing sandw..." "First time at Urban Steam. Super chill atmosphere, great menu selection, great playlists, friendly/knowledgeable staff. Free WiFi. Restrooms. There's food, but I didn't get any this time around. I got the Cubano Con Leche and the Cafe Afogato. Both were really good! Can't wait to try more of the menu my next visit! They also do stamp cards!"

"I'm not sure what its like on the weekends but on a weekday, its a pretty chill spot. I got a waffle and cortado. Waffle took a few minutes as they made it fresh, I got a gluten free one with no whipped cream. It was probably one of the best gf waffles, I have had. It was actually pretty light and soaked the syrup nicely. The cortado was perfect, strong and..." Read more

"I would normally be willing to wait an hour for food at a place with such good reviews, but imagine our disappointment when our food arrived after an hour and fifteen minutes, only to realize there was no actual flavor to my Buddha bowl, the service was subpar, and it was incredibly overpriced for what we received, won't be returning."

"What a gem discovery!  I stumbled upon this hidden cafe while walking and so happy I did.  I sat at the bar and had the southern comfort breakfast.  Holy comfort food delicious!  Crispy fried chicken on a blue corn waffle with scallions and drizzled with warm bourbon maple syrup.  Lauren at the bar was a gem as well.  Warm welcome, attentive service - I felt..." "A pretty cool place to hang out with friends. The drink and food was awesome. The environment is chill and cool. I ordered the Density Cake, and for sure it was meant to be for share. A very generous amount of whip cream, really satisfied with that. Also I ordered the Italian Cream Soda in the flavor of caramel, would recommend trying it, a very smooth but f..." Read more

"Had a Sunday brunch for 2.. We split a "Fellini", their savory basil pesto and egg topped Focaccia and a "Monkey Wrench", a Belgian Waffle topped with Nutella, bananas, whipped cream, nuts, and caramel - YUMMY !! We sat outdoors on their little patio and thoroughly enjoyed the food and the coffee. Well worth visiting !!"

"So far, the best place to get coffee and yummy breakfast!  Espresso was good too!

Look forward to visiting again.

(As far as the waffles -  I would go with a breakfast special -  were cold and overdone)"

"Full support of this place. Unique food, fun/laid back environment and off the beaten path enough to feel like you aren't right downtown. I don't drink coffee but my coffee-addicted friends were ranting about it on my last two visits. Get the waffle pesto sandwich. Top notch."
