"This is the kind of place that you need to go and check out for yourself, so do it--just go. Colorado Springs is LUCKY to have Urban Steam!Time for the nitty-gritty. On my first visit, I was immediately at ease upon walking into the door (mind you this was roughly 10pm and it's a breakfast and lunch spot). Blade Runner was on the television, several..." Read more

"I guess you have to be a pretentious coffee snob to truly appreciate Urban Steam... We gave this place a try Saturday morning. It's a nice bright and cheerful space, the employees, not so much (none of the three could be bothered to look up and say Hello! Good Morning, etc...) Having never been in before, we lingered by the front door, unsure of whet..." Read more

"Worst costumer service ever. Went here with my girlfriend for breakfast and coffee . The place had a very cool feel, prices were reasonable. But we ordered a black coffee for 4 dollars and it took 20 minutes! Ok fine, so we got the coffee -which was delicious. I wanted another cup but I needed it to go. I asked if it would be shorter than the..." Read more

"Friendly staff. Affordable prices. Amazing food. We've tried the Sierra Madre and the Tourist. I highly recommend both. The Tourist was simply amazing. The Sierra Madre was unique for us as I have never tried a waffle with taco like ingredients (black beans, cheddar cheese, sour cream, etc.)...it was delicious. At last but not the least, the coffee!!!..." Read more

"I'm sure it's just me. While I'm an aspiring foodie, I must not be a coffee aficionado to this degree. I grind my own coffee at home, and love the concoctions I make. For my first visit here, I ordered a $3 Americano. It was good, but was it that good? Probably not."

"This is a nice little spot we stopped at for breakfast during a recent trip. Solid breakfast sandwiches. Good coffee drinks. On a nice day, the open garage doors make you feel like you're outside. Worth a stop."

"There are few places to eat and have an espresso that I actually crave - Urban Steam is one of them. If I go too long between visits...well it's not good. Excellent service, fantastic espresso's and really good food! FIVE STARS. Keep up the great work Steamers!"

"Hidden gem. The kind of place you'd expect to find in SF or Portland, not Colorado Springs (that's a compliment)."

"This place is great! The food is original and delicious. My only complaint is that they do not offer Mimosas. What breakfast place with a full bar doesn't have champagne? Good vibe and awesome staff."

"I've been to Urban Steam a few times and have really enjoyed my experiences. The coffee is really good, although you should expect it to take a bit of time because they don't brew large batches. Every order of 'drip' coffee is done as a pour over. But it's worth the wait. They use high-quality coffees and I think that the pour over technique improves the ove..." Read more

"Oh Spock, you evil bastard!
If heading over to Urban Steam for Happy Hour, I highly suggest drinking the Evil Spock. They have some amazing waffles, too! Great staff and music. Fun times!"

"First time but definitely not the last time. Shared the Fellini and Confusor for brunch (MUST have both open faced) and they were nothing short of mouth watering. Don't miss an opportunity to visit this out-of-the-way establishment with some of the best breakfast food in the springs!"

"Our bartender was awesome in helping us decide what to drink... After a long week, we wanted coffee but with a little kick :) he made a special chai with vanilla vodka and it was just what the doctor ordered! Also tried the Irish coffee and that hit the spot. Definitely will come again to try something new, and check out their new menu! Staff was friendly..." Read more

"Coffee & booze, two of my favorite things, in one cool garage coffee house. I made it a point to check out several coffee shops along the route of a recent road trip, and Urban Steam was a big draw for me.I really wish it hadn't been my turn to drive cuz I would've loved to try some if their boozy coffee drinks, like an espresso martini or an Iri..." "I'm in my coffee trip these days and we went to Urban Steam because I heard from the coffee bean vine that they make a hella-cup-of-joe! They were right (whoever they are, thanks joes!), I had the latte and the Steambot waffles (oh-so-good) and my son ordered tea and the same waffle, he also had the Monkeywrench (he loves it) just because he was super hungry..." "So I took a solo trip to Colorado all the way from Florida and after a full day of flying, trying to get a rental car and finding my hotel, I just wanted a low key place with some good food and even better beer. I found Urban Steam on Google maps and it had a almost 5 star rating, so I thought why not? I passed it twice, almost giving up when I realized it w..." Read more

"A VERY good trendy eclectic coffee bar/eatery who refuses to be defined, one of the better cubano con leches I've had in a while, especially with the "heart blue collar" breakfast.
If you like waffles and want something outside of mainstream, this is your place! I give it 4.5 stars"

"Love the atmosphere and friendly service. Great place for coffee or a drink. They had a couple playing soft folksy music the last time I was here - 11am on a weekday sounds strange but we really enjoyed it."

"The food looked good from all the items my friends ordered. My eggs over English muffins were OK. Where they really excel in my opinion is their coffee.
What they can improve on is their air quality. I had to go out for some fresh air half way through my meal just because the air is quite stuffy."
