"I'll give this location 5 stars BUT they have to keep an eye on the stock workers so they aren't allowed to passive-aggressively stock when customers are shopping in their work area.Otherwise, this is my favorite Trader Joes it's exciting, international, and fast-paced easy to navigate and with 20 cash registers, the line moves fast.I've ret..." "I've been shopping at Trader Joe's for years, but just recently started shopping at this store, maybe about 3 months ago. The store is big, well stocked, looked pretty organized, and in general a smooth-running operation. Here are the cons:1. The restroom can be dirty due to so many customers every day. 2. They don't serve coffee at the sampli..." Read more

"Super convenient location for picking up groceries on my way home! Half a block away from Powell St. BART. I've never had a bad experience here. During commuter hours it can get very busy but there are at least 10 registers in play and the checkout workers are fast and friendly. It's great that they accept Apple Pay."

"OHHH my god! This is the BIGGEST Trader's Joe ever~!! I wish that all the TJ near me was this big, organized, well stocked and fast at the register. This location has 20 registers, so yes, once you are ready to check out the line is super intimidating, but have no fear, the line goes SUPER quick, all of the registers are open! This location is across..." Read more

"I use to think this branch was the best Trader Joe's, but over the years I think it's gotten more worse than their Westlake branch. The Trader Joe's on 4th has rude employees that make rude comments about customers while they shop. many times a group of young male employees talk and giggle then say rude things about while I shop the isles. One likes to sta..." Read more

"It is my tradition to go to each trader joe and grab their reusable bags that they make unique for each state. I stopped in to this one to grab a bag and some water. The water was crazy cheap-less than 50 cents and it was right around the corner from our hotel, where the water was $8.00 in the room. The line was crazy long but it moved so quickly!!!! It was..." "This place is a joke. Affordable but low quality. The line system I felt like a rat in a made. My Asian chicken salad was bland vile. I don't have high expectations for the orange I purchased. People who are attempting to drink less beware. Customer service what do you expect from the overworked underpaid. FYI this place is not all bad try the vegan Italian..." Read more

"I love this Trader Joe's! They carry a wide variety of items and do a great job keeping the shelves stocked, so it's easy to find what you need. Things are usually in stock, too (unlike other TJ's where items are fully out of stock at any given time). The store is also surprisingly large given the location right near Powell St. I also find it to be less cr..." Read more

"I didn't think I'd be a fan of Trader Joe's but this location changed my mind. It's huge and right in the middle of downtown, which is great for hitting up at lunchtime. It's never elbow to shoulder crowded and the other shoppers are nice and keep to themselves. So many choices at this spot! You don't have to be a health nut to find something to enjoy..." Read more

"TJ's right in Union Square?! No way! Entrance is on 4th next to Old Navy. You enter and escalators go downstairs and there it all is. Smaller than some but still has everything needed. I was visiting so mainly went to buy gift to bring home, since Hawaii doesn't have a TJ. Found exactly what I needed...the everything bagel seasoning....I'm obses..." Read more

"From an SF lunch perspective, this is the best bargain basement in town! Where else can you get a Greek salad for $2.99 around this area? It doesn't exist, except here! Granted you must go in adn wait in a massively long line to check-out. But good thing there are plenty of cashiers to move the queue along faster than all the other TJ's I've been to!..." Read more

"Trader Joe's has good prices and the selection is pretty on point. With the winter chill in full effect, I stopped in to stock up on items to make some turkey chili. "This place is well run and kept pretty clean. The checkout line didn't take too long even during lunch time during the work week.I wish I got the name of the cashier that helped me to check out. "I like this TJ's almost better than my "home" one near the Wharf. Seems to be more current on new products and way better stocked, though I guess the store manager determines products each carries. Close enough to the office to stroll over to grab lunch/treats/beer for Friday Fun at 4. Close to the streetcar to grab and head home when I want to check..." Read more

"I keep on dabbling in other markets, but every time I pop into Trader Joe's - I'm reminded of why people go here. Trader Joe's gets it. They're pretty much on top of every diet or food fad.
