"I was very happy when I learned there would be a TJ right up the street from where I work!! This one is spacious and each time I have gone in it hasn't been that busy, but I usually go in the morning. I have no complaints about this store, but I know for some not having any parking is an issue."

"It's very rare that a grocery store located in the heart of the city would be my favorite ever & this one is! It's convenience and large aisles make it such a pleasure to shop in! You can actually look at items on the shelves & it's not too packed/crowded. The large aisles make shopping fun as one can go up & down the aisles smoothly & quickl..." Read more

"Thank you, Trader Joes for the amounts of money I will save from not having to eat $15 salads for work lunch. I'm so glad you are here. The fridge at work is PACKED to the brim since the opening of this delight on 4th street, located just underneath the Old Navy. Enter on 4th by the Palomar Hotel (aka Zelos) and head on downstairs. The largest TJs in..." Read more

"I'm so happy this place opened in SOMA. It's not huge, but it's in the perfect location to buy groceries after work, and affordable. Like other TJ, there seem to be lines all the time, but it's never too bad and they always go fast."

"I worked in a retail industry for many years and know this business well enough. I like this store for many reasons:1) Location. I live at Mission and it's very convinient for me.2) Prices. It's definetely cheaper that Walgreens, Safeway etc. I compared my monthly grocery before and after Trader's Joe and the difference is significant! I literall..." Read more

"My favorite TJ in the city. Yeah, its small and everything is crammed, but no matter what time of day of the week I go (even the dreaded Sunday afternoon rush), I have never waited more than 5 minutes in line to check out. Their cashiers are ON POINT. There are so many cash registers to get you in and out QUICK! This is how every grocery store shoul..." Read more

"Yes, this location lives up to its hype in that it contains all your TJ brand favs from confections to frozen ready meals, and even your $2.99 wine options. Organic options are on the conservative side, albeit much more generous than your average chain grocer, and obviously pricing is much more reasonable than WholeFoods. Time your visit accordingly,..." "This is the best Trader Joe's I've ever been to, even better than the ones in the East Bay suburbs. I went during lunch today to pick up a salad and it was surprisingly not packed at all, although I did get there right after 12, so maybe people were still walking over. It's by far the most spacious TJs I've ever visited, which will be really nice for those d..." Read more

"I was excited to check it out this new kid on the block, yes, Trader's Joe's, your local neighborhood grocery, and my favorite grocery store. Located near a lot of shopping areas and downtown SF, off of 4th and market (near Old Navy), this is a very convenient location for Trader's Joe's especially for those on their lunch break and need a quick meal...." "Yesss! A TJ right across from my work! Can't get better than that. This store which is under Old Navy is quite big, got plenty of workers, all new daces and when I first visited after a couple days of their grand opening, seems like the employees are still getting their bearings when asked about products. Nonetheless, prices seem the same with what I normall..." Read more

I love love love how spacious it is, and I love the prices even more. Grab a free cup of coffee and stock up on groceries! Friendly staff and clean. "My parents biggest fear when I moved to San Francisco? That I would fall in love and never come back to Germany. Well, sorry mom, but here we go. I'm in love with Trader Joe's. Great selection of everything you could ever imagine, with a slim ingredient list, just the way I like it. And the price tag isn't so bad either. I just loaded up on all these kitchen..." Read more

"A search for watermelon brought me to Trader Joe's. I eat a lot of candy (mainly gummy and sugary candies), but I decided to give all that up to coincide with Lent. (I'm not Catholic, but I wanted to test my will power.) To satisfy my sweet tooth, I stopped by on Wednesday, March 1st around 1:45pm.Now I've only been to a Trader Joe's about twice in m..." "Having trouble finding it? Me too. Here's the secret! Go around corner. I had heard that this new TJ's was "under the Old Navy on Market Street". That's not quite true. The entrance is actually on 4th Street. So walk around to 4th and go about 100' down. You'll see an entrance foyer that contains nothing more than the top of two escalators...." Read more

"Came here the day after this location opened, the escalator going down to the store was out of order. This location is the smallest Trader Joe's I been in. I was surprised that they've kombucha, which is great because they don't have it any other location. The Bristol farms in the mall closed so this is good that this store is now downtown!"

"I'm so happy they opened up a Trader Joe's downtown! The lack of grocery stores in the area was kinda annoying and I found that I would end up getting most of my groceries at Whole Foods or Target, or I'd order online.... or, cough, I'd just be lazy and order take out. So when the signs for Trader Joe's went up, I was definitely happy, even though it was a t..." Read more

"SOOOO happy this opened up near my work place. I hated that whole food or target were the ONLY two places to get groceries, if I needed anything. It is a 15 min walk from my office and I was in and out, as I did not need to buy tons of food, just snacks and it was not crazy at all. There was a lot of people, but the line was not long due to a good am..." Read more

"So, when is it legal to follow and force customers of color to empty the contents of their bags because you "think" they took something. Your manager should be terminated for forcing a customer, a young black man, to open his bag, under threat of police. I suggest you reach out to this man and you reflect on the racism and targeting of colored people..." Read more
