"I've never had bad food at Aladdin and the service is great. It's easy to eat healthy which is crucial for me. I'm typically getting the baba ghhannouj, cucumber salad, eggplant salad and a protein (usually fish or chicken although I've had everything). Ali is a really cool guy (owner) and always gives me extra when he personally serves me. He even gave my..." Read more

"I wanted something different for my wife and I's weekly datenight. I was referred here and we were quite impressed. The price for the lambshank dinner we ordered was a little steep and the lamb had alot of fat on it. May try this place again in the near future."

"Mediterranean and Middle Eastern food--order at the counter. Although the portions are not huge, they are extremely filling, and very good. Aladdin seems to take extra pride in its meet dishes, making these the real gold of the menu (along with the hummus!). The falafel was not great, but you absolutely must try the juices--they are a little expensive, bu..." Read more

"I really like this place for value for money. I can go in and share a platter with a friend and still have leftovers. The guy behind the counter is great at letting me know the gluten free choices. The people who work there are greaat!"

"Nice bread, hummus is OK, meat is pretty greasy, not too great flavor. The veggies are pretty greasy too. Nice staff. Not the worst, not my favorite"

"Culling from the other reviewers, Aladdin offers a-ok Mediterranean cuisine, considering it has competition from Niko-Niko's, One's A Meal, and Fadi's, all within walking distance of each other. As Daniel H. mentions, it is set up like the Luby's of Middle Eastern food. You grab a cafeteria tray, your utensils, and a bread basket for them to fill (usuall..." Read more

"Amazing pita, big portions, and great customer service. When the owner sees me, he smiles and starts prepping my chicken shawarma sandwich. They have great hummus, fresh squeezed juice, salads, pastas, and sides as well, and is great for vegetarians, too! I'd go here over La Fendee any day. 4/5 stars because parking isn't great."

"I love coming here for their veggie plate! I always get the tabouli, roasted potatoes, and fried cauliflower. The red snapper and lamb shank are pretty good too. I can eat mounds of those baked pita chips up in the front. It's very laid back here. I live right down the street, so I love being able to roll in wearing shorts, t-shirt, and flip flops. Las..." "I've moved to another part of town, so Aladdin isn't on my drive home anymore, but I still try to make it over here at least once a month. I find this place to be pretty consistent on quality of food - tasty sides, great bread, decent entrees. The menu has expanded a bit since Aladdin was on my weekly or semiweekly rotation. The new spicy hummus and the sp..." Read more

"I love to try new Mediterranean places whenever I can. This is one of the best in Houston, and definitely a great price for the amount of food that you get. I had the falafel plate, and hands down these are some of the best falafels in Houston. They aren't made until you order them so they are fresh and moist when they come to the table. Along with the..." Read more

"I've been to several Mediterranean restaurants, and Aladdin's is probably the most inviting place my girlfriend and I have been to yet. The food is excellent and the Moroccan tea is probably the best tea I've ever had in an eatery ever. The portions are generous and the staff was an absolute joy."

"It's been a while my friend... I used to frequent Aladdin because it was close to school. I went last night after a long time and it's still pretty good. Warm, yummy pita bread with hummus and babaganoush, and now they added spicy hummus (although I am more of a traditionalist) Prices are ok, still a bit on the high side but portions are huge! There are..." Read more

"First of all, do not let the high priced location fool you. That's right...don't be afraid to try this place. It is not high-falutent nor is it a dingy mom and pop joint (although those are fun too). This little restaurant has plenty to offer you and is priced reasonably. They give you a lot of food for the money...you would spend more at a fast food res..." Read more

"Tonight I ate here for the first time. The people were friendly and very nice. The food tasted good. Would have tasted much better had it been hot though. I don't know if it's because the buffect style setting is the reason. I hope it's not the same when I try again, which I will do."

"I had no idea what a lot of these dishes were when i looked up at the menu, but the employees totally steered me in the right direction and helped me pick out an awesome meal. The pita bread is great. I normally will not touch salads, but their cucumber salad was fantastic. They have a huge vegetarian selection which is great for some of the picky eaters out..." Read more

"Yes, I'm a HUGE fan of this place. The best thing i can say about this place is the staff! Everyone is so helpful and friendly! If you want to have a small taste of something or have questions about what something is, they can help you! It's a ton of food for the price! The Veggie Platter is delicious! "This is not the best Mediterranean food I've ever had. It is a great place for vegetarian/vegan eating so I like it. My meat eating friends were not impressed. But yes the pita bread is delicious!! The prices are decentish. I like the look and feel of the place and the staff is super friendly and helpful. I will definitely keep going for the hummus as well...." Read more

"The owner is always there and very helpful and nice. The lamb shank is the best in Houston along with the pita bread and humus. Lots of choices for food and all of it fresh. Easy for paleo-diet. vegetarian. or all around healthy eating. You will not be disappointed. And have a glass of their fresh fruit juice."

"Just visited here again after a long hiatus and just kept thinking "why don't we eat here more often?" Steaming hot brick oven pita, marinating meat kebabs cooked when you order, large selection of fresh salads, great hummus. They tend to change out the types of salads and most of them are vegetarian friendly. A vegetarian could pig out here (no pun inten..." Read more

"Aladdin's has good mediterranean food and a nice setting. The real high point is the bread, which they make fresh daily. The hummus tastes too citrusy for me, but this is possibly because I'm grounded in Khaleeji arabic food as opposed to mediterranean cuisine. The shwarma sandwiches are ok, but I think there are better ones to be had in Houston (Shwarma..." Read more

"I admit, I wasn't a fan of this place at first. My boyfriend could go here at least once a week. Me? Once a month. What hooked me? The pita bread and hummus. And now, their steak kabobs. "The parking is like all of the parking in Montrose, scary/narrow/tense and slightly illegal but luckily the pita bread at this place makes it worth leaving the parking lot rear-end first tetris style. The rest of the food is so so to good but the pita bread is fresh and amazing!"
