Val Case

"So far so good. I bought these for my granddaughters to sleep over. I unpacked and blew them up. No leaks. They feel comfortable and I like that they can snap together to make a bigger bed. I thought the price was more affordable than similar products."

"It hasn't been that long since we bought these and I already had forgotten that the valve needs to be open to inflate when I was showing my hubby how they work. (Duh!) As they say on Survivor...Make sure to read the clue!LOL"

"I love these! My brother had purchased these for camping and shared them with us. We bought two for ourselves. We loved the comfort of the sleeping pads vs. traditional air mattresses. Our kids used them in the living room for a camp out, and they got a great a nights sleep. They're so convenient and easy to use/store, I'm sure we'll use them all the time."

"I tent/car camp year around at least monthly or more. My wife and I have been using this mat for over a year now and love it. The best part is snapping them together. They are very durable and very comfortable. We also have a life light air mattress that we've used a couple times and is not as comfortable. I will differently buy this mat again. Btw we are no..." "This Kamui Self inflating sleeping pad has a pretty thick foam layer that gave me a best sleep ever on the campground. My old pad is just a air-filled tube-shaped pad without any foam underneath, the problem with that is air moves around so easy so if I sit on it or sleep on my side, my body just touches the ground. This Kamui pad does not have those probl..." Read more

"My niece loves it. Great for her re-enactment."

"Very comfortable. I was afraid it would have those little dimples/bumps that are not good. This mat is as smooth as glass. I like it better than the Kelty brand mat."

"Wanted to try this pad out before the review. The pad will not self inflate to my desired firmness, However, a few quick breathes remedies that. I am totally satisfied and will purchase another."

"It's indeed 2-inch thick, very comfortable plus affordable.I like the feature that you can connect 2 (or more) sleeping pads together. During the daytime, it's convenient to have them connected together to use them as one large mattress. It's comfortable to sit on one big mattress. When sleeping, we actually detach them. In my opinion, if you're sleeping with..." Read more

"The best pad, hands down. It's so comfortable, feels like a mattress. Great length, quality is amazing, we love it. We've used it camping and in the house when people come to visit."

"Easy to use, rugged , nice color. Used it inside my tent which was on top of some pretty sharp feeling rocks and it has been the 1st time I have ever got a full nights sleep while camping. Carrying case is easy to use and pretty lightweight."

"Surprisingly comfortable! Rolls up to a pretty good size, maybe not great for backpacking but perfect for a basecamp site. Left valve open to allow to self inflate for a number of hours and the foam puffed up nicely. Gave it one puff of air by mouth before sealing off for the night just for a little extra cushioning. Stay warm all night despite massive amou..." Read more

"This is my first self-inflating pad. Works really well. I just give a few breaths and close. 2 inches for sure and well made. Was very comfortable on my floor. I plan on car camping in May so I'll give update. My product came with one strap. I emailed Kamui and they sent me another strap right away. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE.:)"

"I used two of the Kamui self-inflating pads snapped together for sleeping, under a too thin futon. Very comfortable. What I appreciate most is if any air is lost, I just loosen the valve and it reinflates itself. Yay. Easy."

"Its a little big and heavy, but its not for backpacking anyway. It inflates easily and completely, very comfortable. I have a similar one from another brand thats a little smaller and lighter but its not as comfortable and still has to be blown up."

"I am a big girl (6'1 280) and needed a thin but comfortable mattress for car camping. I was very skeptical because I sleep on my side and being tall and big, that is a tuff job for a thin mattress. That being said... This is an amazing pad/mattress. Long enough and wide enough for me, never once touched the bottom with my hips. I did find that I had to put a..." Read more

"We bought these to use in our camper van. When the seats are folded down, there are noticeable lumps. The pads, 2 snapped together, did a great job very firm even when not manually extra inflated. Not for back packing, too large when rolled, but very good for our needs."

"The product was exactly as it was advertised. After I unfolded it, it self-inflated within 10-15 min. I blew a few breaths in it to make it more solid. I use it to do yoga on or the kids use it to relax in front of the tv. I may buy more. Thanks."

"Whenever we go camping I have to have this! I have terrible hip problems so the ground usually just makes it worse but with this and my thicker sleeping bag, I slept well! I think my only complaint is that since sleeping bags are already slick, I noticed I was slipping around a lot but I think its like that with every sleeping pad."

"We used 3 of these for an overnight camping trip. I'm 6'4 250lbs with a younger, hot 5'4 wife and I slept like a baby for being on the ground.... I didn't feel like I had slept on the ground and the wife slept well too. We could have done it with 2 pads but heck the extra space with our queen sized sleeping bag was worth the extra weight of a 3rd pad."

"Works well for what it's intended. Not ideal for hiking. I purchased four of these and have used them all multiple times. Sure beats sleeping on solid lumpy surfaces. Be careful not to blow more than a couple of full breaths into it to adjust firmness because with too much air, the outer material will separate creating an annoying bubble which seems fairly c..." "Finally I have graduated from a simple foam mat bought in the camping section at Walmart! These camp mats are awesome. Quality is great and sturdy. Just unboxed and inflated it, and I laid down on it to test it out and woke up about an hour later...yup, fell asleep while I was testing it out. So comfortable."

"Just received two of these and I'm already impressed. After inflating them, they are pretty thick and the material is sturdy. They snap together which is super useful. Comes with storage bag and stretch band. It's a fraction of the cost compared to the top name brands and comparable quality. Only time and useage will tell if it'll last like the expensive..." "Used mine about 25 nights since I purchased 2 summers back.Better than my gf's thermarest. Mine's bigger, thicker, and comes with a bag. I like that they can snap together (if she had one too). For car camping it's great, but I wouldn't backpack with it - way too bulky for that. The flock surface is nice but things stick to it (grass, etc.) and the non-slip ba..." "Came well packaged, with thorough instructions on it being compressed for months and how to get it back to shape. I can lay on it on my hardwood floor and it's quite comfortable. I have yet to camp in it so I will update the review after I sleep on it on the ground."
