With a bit of understanding on how they work and following the sellers instructions you end up with a full 5cm mat with great insulation from the ground and it's seriously comfortable for a nights sleep on pretty much any ground. "The best mat I have used! This is the most comfortable roll mat I have ever used. I don't sleep well when camping, but did for four nights on this. Unfortunately it developed a leak, but the company immediately replaced it and I think it was an unfortunate fault as very well made."

"Position when it's inflating is important. Seems excellent. We found it best to have it on its side (making sure it's straight) while it inflates - if it's bent it will stop inflating but you can hear it drawing the air in."
