"The seafood stew is good. I ordered it with mussels and fish, both smoked then stew in a tomato base soup, it's a bit salty but goes well with rice. The side gravy also tastes great."

"Cute little place! Really enjoyed the caipirinhas- refreshing and strong! I had the seafood casserole, which was also excellent and flavorful. Service was good. Cute ambience with lots of fish themes. Will definitely be back!"

"Got dinner here on a Saturday night - the place was pretty crowded, though it seemed very family friendly. A lot of the seafood and moqueca entrees sound very similar, and we opted for the mariscada, which came with a plaintain moqueca and crumbled plaintain topping, and the fish moqueca, which came with a side sauce. The rice was fragrant and both of the se..." Read more

"I enjoyed my seafood there. It could be healthier than what it was. I felt a bit heavy after finishing 2/3 of it."

"Their specialty is called "Muqueca" and its a clay pot with seafood in a broth. You can get it with plantain or tofu."

"This is truly one of the gems of East Cambridge. Full of flavor and character, Muqueca provides a great, albeit a bit noisy when the blender is going, dining experience. It is a bit pricey, but there's enough to share for two or for tomorrow's lunch."

"The food was really good. The beer list is rather small, but my girlfriend said the Sangria was pretty good. The food was absolutely fantastic however. Definitely check it out if you're feeling Latin American/Brazillian food."

"Supported my gluten, dairy and soy allergies, no problem. Definitely a place I'd return. Its pretty small, so I have been up close and personal with conversations I'd rather have not heard... its character."

"This place is ridiculously good. Is been three days since I ate there and I am still craving the taste of their Picanha. It is an unbelievably savory piece of red meat served with rice fries and black beans. If you like the spicy stuff you can put some of their house hot sauce on it which is just as delicious. I'm not big into seafood but my mother, cousin a..." Read more

"Muqueca is located on the strip of Cambridge St., where I was told, lots of hip restaurants to eat. Muqueca is also well known by many MIT and Harvard students as the place to order their authentic traditional caipirinha (Brazilian hillbilly drink). I suggest ordering their side of plantains. Their Feijoada ComPleta is a Brazilian National Dish and really g..." Read more

"Tiny little place that none of the locals seem to know about. If there's large parties the servers can be a little overwhelmed. Just be patient. Everything we tried here was good. Had the traditional caipirinha aka Brazilian hillbilly drink. Most of the dishes come with sides such as rice and plantains. Had a beef dish and shrimp and fish dish. Both v..." Read more

"So good! Seated right away on a Saturday night. Got the muquequa completa, yucca fries, cod cakes, and a caipirinha and it was bomb! The flavors were great. The stews are perfect comfort food for brisk New England autumns and cold winters. My only negative is that although tasty the food was pretty salty. I like my food aggressively seasoned, but this was gi..." Read more

"Okay...definitely best spot for Brazilian food in Boston! Upon our arrival, we waited a couple minutes because it was starting to get busy, but once seated, the service was on point. Our waiter was very friendly and asked if we had any questions about the menu. We ordered two caipirinhas and the fried calamari with the passion fruit dipping sauce. The drinks..." Read more
