"I am getting ready to live on a boat. This book was recommended by another part time sailor. The book has good tips on food storage and cooking. I was disappointed about the recipes using a lot of fresh ingredients. Fresh ingredients might not always be possible unless you grow them on the boat."

"It was a waste of my money, I understood there was knowledge from past civilizations on how to keep food fresh without refrigeration. Not so, it is simple common sense. Food preparation I have known since I was a child. But if you are a person who has never cooked, or preserved any foods. or the kitchen is just used for coffee, snacks, and drinks. I guess yo..." "The information contained in this book is vital. Even if you have great reliable refrigeration. You need this knowledge in your contingency plans. You never know when your refrigeration stop working or your power source fails. Heck for emergency situations such as power failures or post natural disasters. This will help you cope. Knowing what needs to be kep..." Read more

"Not a how-to book. Simply a list of ideas or types of food storage and some recipes in the back. Certainly does NOT live up to the title. I’m sending it back."

"This product is clearly marked as a 'pamphlet' and written for non-mechanics. It's a great guide for a beginner, with problems categorized as common or uncommon, so you know where you start if you have a motor issue."

"We have a brand new outboard engine yet recently it stopped working half way back to our boat. I had no idea what to do and where to start. I ended up having someone tow me back (luckily) but I decided that I wouldn’t be in this position again. I bought the outboard pamphlet and it’s a amazing! It’s made for folks like me who don’t know too much about an out..." Read more

"Great information. I don't much about motor mechanics, but with this guide I feel much more confident about taking the dinghy out by myself."

"This is marketed to look like a book but buyer beware - this is a simple fold out pamphlet. It is certainly well designed and easy to read but the content would be valuable only to a person with absolutely zero experience. IMO, the checks and fixes are completely obvious and provide very little value."

"I love this quick reference. This will be great to have on hand for me to find inlets and anchorages. Easy to flip through while skippering the boat. I look forward to exploring with this in hand."
