"After a failed attempt at eating at Baba Yega (closed Mondays - what?!) I ventured down the street since, hey, I already had a parking spot. I agree with the hundreds and hundreds of positive reviews. This place is definitely no frills but I'd go back for the food. We ordered 1 chicken kabob plate and 1 lamb gyro meat plate. Sides included (3 for each of us..." Read more

"Based on all the good yelp reviews, I'm inclined to think I "did it wrong" with ordering food here, but I gotta be honest... I had the gyro plate with three sides. I opted for the regular hummus, cucumber salad, and hot eggplant dish. Two pieces of fresh bread came with it. The gyro meat was different. It didn't look like your typical sliced/shaved meat f..." "I love the food her. It's one of my favorite places to eat. However parking here is ridiculous! I could not find parking in their lot for 15 or so cars. So I went to their other lot and the attendant said parking is only available from 11-2 PM. What a shame so many drove up in their parking only to find they have to leave at 2 PM (10 til 2 for us). Honestl..." Read more

"I go to Aladdin's a lot for lunch for a high protein and fiber meal. It's really flavorful and super healthy. When you go through the cafeteria style line, they offer you a basket of hot pita bread and some hummus. They have an array of vegetables and sides, and several meats. They usually only have one seafood option, and it's usually the same, so I'd hope..." Read more

"This place is fantastic! It is my favorite when I'm looking for a tasty gyro. They're reasonably priced too! They have so many hot and cold sides to accompany your gyro as well. Hummus is a safe choice if you're not feeling adventurous. Fried okra, the baked cauliflower and the cucumber salad are my favorites. Enjoy!"

"Great food , I decided on the Swarma and had the Greek salad to go along with it. The price was fair considering the location(Midtown). When I called my food in I didn't know they had over 30 different sides to go with your main course. The inside scenery was clean and the restaurant smelled good. The food was setup like a cafeteria surrounding."

"Great selection. Location is a little far for me, but worth it. The selection of vegetables and salads is superb. Portions are great. Most meat portions are grilled to order. One of the sauces offered it really unique with the Beef Kabob. I recommend the Chickpea salad. It is sort of cafeteria style. Prices are reasonable for what you get. Attractive displa..." Read more

"in reading the very few, very few negative reviews on this place, i often wonder what goes through peoples minds when they choose an eatery so what Aladdin is not, is trendy or hip, its an old building, well used cheap cafeteria dish wear, no frills service, chow line, slop it on your plate, old school Greek diner so if thats not for you, go find Zoe's up..." "First time going to this place and I was thoroughly impressed! It's a little confusing if you never been, but luckily I went with my boyfriend! Traffic around was insane but it was worth the hassle! The pita bread and hummus stole my heart, I haven't stopped craving it from the moment that I first tasted it, so make sure to get plenty since they have free r..." Read more

"Aladdins is the go to spot when my fiancé and I are hungry! The portion size is large which is prefect because we look forward to having leftovers to take home. I've had times when Aladdins is just too good to pass up and have eaten there twice in a weekend. I love Mediterranean, specifically Lebanese and their pita is soo good, hot and fresh out of the ston..." Read more

"You want an arm work out? Just try opening the solid steel doors here. You'll need to have a big appetite when you come here to eat. Prices are higher than Fadi's but similar style restaurant. Line up with trays and move through the line. Salads first, sides, and meat. Be ready with what you want to order. Their pita bread is really good. Can be..." Read more

"Every single time I have eaten at Aladdin's, no matter what I choose to eat, the food has always been delicious. The lamb shanks are succulent and the baked chicken is seasoned just right. It is a good place for family gatherings where you can eat for a reasonable price and enjoy each other's company."

"We came here with a big appetite only to be disappointed. We walked in and were deciding what to eat, but we had a few questions. We had waited for a very long time when two men walked in. An employee in the back saw them and immediately came out to serve them. He didn't even answer our questions, but went straight to the men and started taking their order...." Read more

"If you're looking for delicious Mediterranean food and lots of it for a very fair price, this is your place. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is the atmosphere. It's dark and old looking, but I'm happy to look past that to enjoy their delicious food!"

"I want to like this restaurant really bad but I can't. The location is good, plenty of parking and the food LOOKS great. But though they present well, the food is bland. I've never tasted Mediterranean food that's cooked with less seasoning than here. What gives? I got the lamb plate yesterday and couldn't finish it because I didn't like the taste. Last..." "Still one of my favorites! I like their gyro meat more than other establishments because it's crispier. The service is really hit or miss, but generally everyone is very nice. Another plus is that they do not charge extra for tzatziki."

"The food was tasty and had good flavor. The portions are very plentiful so come hungry. This place is smaller inside than Fadi's and the parking is pretty bad. It gets pretty packed here so someone from your party should sit and save a spot. I noticed the couple next to us brought thier own bottle of wine and plastic wine glasses. So I think it's byob.. the..." Read more

"Where do I start!? This place is great! They have the best baked chicken ever! It's always so juicy and perfectly seasoned. And the lamb shanks are so delicious and tender the meat just comes right off of the bone. Staff is friendly and the atmosphere is amazing. One of the best spots to eat in Houston."

"This place was a mandatory stop every time I visited Houston, however the past 2 times I stopped here for dinner have been a disappointment, in my opinion the quality of service and food is going down. Today at 9 PM there were only 4 options for salads, and the corn which was microwaved and served cold. They did not want to prepare kabobs or shawarma... This..." Read more

"It was our first time here and it exceeded our expectations. Good quality food, great customer service, exceptional value for money. When compared to Fadi's, the old standard, this restaurant exceeds in every conceivable way. However, as with Fadi's, the only real drawback is noise. Would recommend and we will be back."
