"Muqueca is an unassuming restaurant with dishes that are delicious! I always wanted to stop by, but happened to catch it on an episode of Neighborhood Kitchens, and made it a point to visit. And I was satisfied with the fish soup, the Mouqueca Completa and the house cocktail! All on point!"

"This place is great. We've only done delivery, but it's been consistently delicious, and everything is unique. And we live practically next door, but their delivery is always prompt and hot. Highly recommend."

"Perfect. Nice staff. I had a wonderful dinner with my friends. I'm from Brazil and the food was just like in my country. Muqueca baiana as made in Bahia.
You have a wonderful restaurant."

"Order a last minute catering order for an event that was in 3 hours and they were willing to work with me! The food was awesome! everyone seemed to like it. The bread balls were super good and the beef plate was seasoned to mouth watering goodness. If you want to get catering for an event, this place was definitely a hit in terms of atypical but tastey food..." Read more

"Great food, great service, great ambience.
Must try the fried yucca, muquecas, coconut shrimp, mariscada, fried frog legs if that is your thing. Desserts are also incredible but huge."

"The best Brazilian food in Boston area...crave-worthy! The muqueca completa (like bouillabaisse) and feijoada (black bean soup) are always superb - great drinks. The staff is so friendly and always attentive. It's like stepping into Brazil into a typical intimate setting."

"Loved this place!! I came on a weekday afternoon and really enjoyed taking my time savoring this meal. I started off with a caipirinha and it was perfection. I had the fish moqueca and the shrimp bobo. The flavor of these dishes were simply amazing. I would definitely like to come back and try the fries yucca and feijoada. My only gripe is that when you orde..." Read more

"Of all of the places I have tried muqueca, this is the best by far. They also have great drinks, appetizers, and desserts. The service is always prompt and friendly. Parking is a little challenging at times, but there is a decent number of spots on a side street."

"Great food. Big servings. Yummy drinks at reasonable prices (caipirinha). We had a fish and shrimp moqueca (Bahia style - added coconut milk) that was really good and enough to share. Coconut shrimp appetizer had nice breading and tasty dipping sauce. Also had the feijoda, which has really tender pork and great fried sweet plantains."

"Everything I have tried here has been fantastic. From the Shrimp Bobo, to the Moqueca, you can't miss. Also, the juices are wonderful and pair well with the clay pot dishes. Don't forget to add a little of the home made hot sauce (in moderation!)"

"Can't say enough about how good this place is. We've lived in the area for a while and have walked by it remarking to ourselves, "This place looks interesting", but never had the motivation to walk in. Well, tonight we decided to give it a try. Dude.. it was outrageously good. We had the moqueca, a plate of veggies, and flan for dessert. All amazing. F..." Read more

"First of all, I'm Brazilian. And I'm very picky when I eat my home food abroad. I've been here a couple of times, and this place doesn't disappoint me. It's easy to get a table during lunch, but it gets crowded at night. yes, get a reservation. Ok, let's start with the food. For appetizers, the Brazilian crab cake is good, but it's a simple portion. If you'r..." Read more

"Fabulous food, amazing service and one of my favorite places in the county. We've been there for evening, lunch and it is always consistent. My favorite are the scallops baked on the half shell. The moqueca dishes are beyond belief wonderful. They import the ingredients from Brazil so this is not something I can replicate easily at home. That makes it a rea..." Read more

"The Shrimp Bobo is fantastic. It's made with yucca, which is made into a kind of a cream. Out of this world. The side dishes are very reasonably priced. For example, $3.50 I think it was for broccoli and carrots. We also had the fried yucca, which is very much like potatoes -- outstanding! For dessert the "manjar coco n tapioca" is sweet and luscious,..." Read more
