"You pay for the view and nice decor. This place is located on Pier 39 and the restaurant sits on top of the second floor. It's a really nice spot to grab a view of the seals and the bay. The service is great and the place is spacious and elegant. However the prices are high and the food is not that good. I was disappointed in their seafood dishes and di..." Read more

"Great pier views!
Pros - this place has great views of pier peer and you can see seagulls and Alcatraz! The service is also relatively quick.
Cons - much of the food seems likes it's being reheated and not fresh. Pizza gave off frozen pizza vibes."

"It was okay. They never brought us bread but every other table got some. The noodles tasted a little raw. Again, just okay"

"Swiss Louis - a room with a view, but the seasoning was just a touch off. Located in Pier 39, Swiss Louis in San Francisco, CA, offers an undeniably incredible dining experience with its beautiful views of the Bay. While the ambiance is almost unmatched, the food didn't quite hit the mark during our visit.Upon sitting down, we started our meal with t..." Read more

"Hubby's plans of eating at Bubba Gump's on Pier 39 were foiled again. Only because he foiled them himself. He decided that since we were in San Francisco, we were going to try out a restaurant we've never been to before. Swiss Louis had an awesome view and when hubby read on the menu that there was frutti de mare, there was no changing his mind. He h..." Read more

"Agree with another reviewer that this is expensive for mediocre food. Crab cakes were not good. My husband's seafood platter was poor quality. My daughters fettuccine alfredo was good but watery.
Desserts were very good!"

"Nice restaurant. We had a very good experience and I would absolutely eat there again. The only reason that I gave three stars is because I love more garlic in my Italian food. The food is reasonably priced but expect to pay tourist taxes and other fees. Ambience has five stars, both inside and outside. Our service was good, no complaints at all."

"The food was nice and fresh and the servers were sweet and quick with our meal. My only complaint would be for the parking we didn't see any postage that says the parking would be validated for 2 hours only it just said it would pay for the parking. Other than that it is quite expensive I feel like there could've been other options. The charge for the soda w..." Read more

"So I was spending the day around pier 39 and I try to go to a different restaurant every time I come here. So I was in the mood for Italian. So let me say the customer service was amazing. My waiter was so attentive and polite. So I did get a cocktail which came fast I want to say a mai Thai but I can't remember , it was sweet and strong. I got the calamari..." Read more

"Honestly this place is alright.. food is mediocre, but it's one of the less busy restaurants to get into on the pier where we can sit in a large party. We had 10 people but they don't split bills which is kinda stupid. Service is also alright. During COVID not all tables are open but the entire time we were there we didn't get any water/drink refills ..."

"Came to eat here with a group of my friends over the weekend. We were doing an activity nearby and one of my girlfriends made a reservation for the 10 of us. They had quite a selection on their menu. Most places at pier 39 are all seafood but this place had some salads, pizzas, and entrees to choose from. I went with the crab enchiladas which were super smal..." Read more

"Staff was highly attentive & great service. Of course outdoor seating so expect a wait time. Food was good, however I wasn't a fan of baby fried octopus on my dish which wasn't mentioned in the description when making my food selection. Next time, I'll probably stick to a pasta dish or something I'm more familiar with."

"We had our company holiday party here (a group of 30) so there were plenty of appetizers to go around as well as a 3 course meal. The restaurant had a great holiday display out front and was nice and spacious inside. The food overall was mediocre, nothing really stood out and I did expect more from a restaurant located at Pier 39. I do have to admit that it'..." Read more

"Good food, poor service...
We had the clam chowder, garlic bread, and fish & chips. All the food was great.
But we didn't see our waiter once after receiving our food. Had to finish our meal without anything to drink and then wait over 20 minutes for him to even bring our check."

"Food is good, but they charge an additional "service" fee on top of a tip and it's taxed. Fish and chips was unseasoned but fine with sauce. Other family members ordered different pastas and said it was good."
