"Being a fan of the original Italian Homemade Co. in North Beach, I was so excited when I found out they were taking over the old A.G. Ferrari space on College. The largest of their locations with more seating and food served on real plates vs. paper ones without trekking over the bridge makes this one a winner. Same format as their other locations, pick..." "Came here because I heard about the piadina. The piadina flatbread had an interesting texture. If you are ordering the piadina definitely get the classica. I liked how there wasn't too much cheese that didn't overpower the rest of the dish. Service was very nice and the staff was super friendly! Ambience was also very nice."

"Food is very fresh and very good.  Had the roasted tomatoes salad.  It was good, but only 1/2 a roasted tomato.   The pasta is handmade and delish.  The marinara and meatballs is very good.  Seating is a little hard.  We had a tiny table for 4, so with 2 salads and 4 entrees, we had to wait to clear the salad plates before we could fit water glasses on our t..." "One of the better pasta places i've been to. Unfortunately they do not have Chicken Alfredo or Carbanara otherwise I will be here all the time.

Fresh hand made noodles and sauce. This place is a must if you are in the area. They are good and full of flavor."

"The Meatballs are BOMB and the parpadelle is al dente. I am just not a fan of their white sauce because it practically doesn't taste like anything. The pesto sauce however, was great. The perfect pasta order would be any of their pasta + bolognese/meat sauce (anything with meatballs!!!!)"

"First time I tried their food....took home lasagne and meatballs in sauce. The lasagne was much more in the traditional bolognese style with cream and bechamel not typical american (southern italian) style with tomato based meat sauce. It was good but not outstanding. It suffered from the pasta sheets being too soft/overcooked/mushy. But overall flavo..." Read more

"This place, in comparison to their SF locations, just doesn't have that 'Mama's Kitchen' feel. I have definitely walked in and not been acknowledged by the front staff, though that was only because they were attending to other customers! The food here is amazing! I get the pappardelle with meatballs and leave with a happy, full stomach. Tried my girlf..." Read more

"This is such a cute little place to go to in Berkeley! It's a very casual restaurant that gives off a bit of a cafe/bakery feel to it. When you walk in you can see to your left where they have the dough that they use to make the fresh pasta and a bit down the way you see the various meats and desserts they have for sale. Ordering was pretty simple. T..." Read more

"We've eaten at the location in North Beach and love it, so we were thrilled to see this location open. Their sauces are incredible and their pasta second to none. My favorite thing is the meatball and ricotta cassone. A cassone is a sort of gigantic flatbread pocket stuffed with whatever your choice is. Tonight we branched out to the vegetarian gnocchi roll,..." Read more

"I've been very fond of their SF location in North Shore and so happy they opened up shop in Berkeley. It's so much bigger and homey, not prone to be as crowded like their other smaller pasta shop locations. The service was great too, somebody who I assumed was the manager (?) was very accommodating. They also have gelato available if you're up to dessert aft..." Read more

"Pappardelle with butter & sage was enough to convince us that we'd be back. Fresh silky pasta and the smell of the dish, oh man.The meat lasagna was much larger, and came in a little kiddie pool of sauce. Not my favorite lasagna because the layers could have used more filling, but it hit the right buttons, and I wish it were slightly hotter...." Read more

"Loving this new Italian restaurant! After waiting to see what this place was changing into I finally stopped over. At first I was like what is this a grocery store or a deli. Nope it's an actual Italian restaurant your boy is happy. It's getting harder and harder to find good Italian food in the bay. I'm glad I found this place fresh pasta and awesome Bologn..." "It was a really hot, blistery day in Berkeley today and the fiancé and I decided to check this place out after having had it in North Beach. A sign that the small things really make a huge difference: they had the cutest mason jars all lined up for you to pour ice cold water in to drink. A lot of restaurants offer lukewarm water and for them to have this on..." Read more

"Great local, fresh Italian place that you can get freshly made pasta, piadina (Italian flatbread sandwich), gelato and more! They actually make their pasta in the store!! The food was just simple, yet so flavorful. I tried the classica piadina and fettuccine + salsa palmigiano pasta, both of which were made with only few ingredients, but tasted amazi..." Read more

"I'm not a pasta person because I generally think it's a waste to eat such plain carbs, so I don't really crave it. But this place has such a following and also has a really nice hippie environment that I had to check it out! Seeing the guy making pasta actually made pasta seem appetizing to me for the first time in a while! The staff was friendly too!..." Read more

"The reviews for this place set the bar too high. People raved about super flavorful sauce and today's bolognese/marinara did not deliver. It was very flat and barely tasted of tomato. There were some large, not separated balls of meat crumbles as well. I expected at least some acidity, flavor, and definitely more sauce as well- there was just barely enough t..." Read more

"Great spot, staff was friendly and helpful. The menu isn't overwhelming but has just enough of a nice selection to choose from. The prices aren't bad at all. Everything is homemade which is nice. The noodles I got were made well, super fresh and tender. The white bechamel sauce was bland no flavoring. The sausage that came with it was good but overly salty...." Read more
