"The only way I can afford this place was with the help of mom and pops. Thank God for them. The salad was amazing. I don't know what kind of dressing it was, but if I could dip the rest of my meals in it, I could die happy. The prime rib was nothing to turn your nose at either - especially after they pour that yummy yummy juice all over it."

"I popped my HOPR cherry last night... It was so worth it. Went last night with Vince K. and another friend of ours. They have a reputation for eating like heffers, so I half-expected them to take home seconds!!! They couldn't do it this time, but, there's always next time. The salad was awesome and served in HEAPING portions. I don't think I've ever eaten..." Read more

"The prime rib here is AMAZING. I'm not a big fan of the sides they offer. But the prime rib makes up for it. The service is decent, and the atmosphere is nice. A great place for groups, and one on one dinners."

"Oh, House of Prime Rib, how I adore thee... I had to give you five stars because... well, you so deserve it... and more... I don't like my meat bleeding all over my plate. In fact, I don't like my meat bleeding at all. It vaguely reminds me of a wild animal chewing on a carcass. God gave us fire so that we may COOK. And I don't think he wanted us to do..." Read more

"Are you a carnivore? If yes, you must try this place. If not, move on. One of my favorites. For those that care, this is a great joint for celiacs."

"food-wise, this place is just like and as good as lawry's, the prime rib institution in LA. that is to say, decadent buttery meaty food and in huge quantities. you can eat it for days...or at least 2 meal, possibly 3. as far as the restaurant tho, this place is more fun, 'cuz it looks a lot more medieval and old timey euro than lawry's, which in contrast fee..." "Prime Rib me please!!! Wow! HOPR is a wonderful place. I've been coming here for years and I've never been disappointed. The food here is well worth your hard earned money. The deliciousness of the prime rib just melts in your mouth if you leave in there long enough. All the fixin's you get with the meal is just spot on. This place sure does have many fine..." "My affinity for beef started at a tender age. HOPR, being a family favorite for as long as I can recall, is the root of it all. As a matter of fact, this was where I chose to celebrate my 10th birthday. The prime rib is what gets us here, but it's the salad (w extra beets) and piping hot Boudins sourdough; cream spinach and yorkshire pudding; housemade Tir..." Read more

"Quick summary: this is heaven served on a series of huge plates. I'm a huge steak lover, so I've eaten at a huge number of steakhouses. House of Prime Rib is definitely among the best. The menu is small and to the point. MEAT and more MEAT! OK, so they also serve stuff that goes well with meat... The serving sizes are huge. You start with a humongou..." Read more

"I've tried Bobo's and I've had my share of Ruth's Chris, and still nothing compares to the experience (and guilt) you get from HOPR! I think this dining event would qualify as one of my top 5 "last meals before I die" for sure. It goes without saying that the prime rib is great, but the real stars are the sides and accompaniments... creamed spinach, salad (..." Read more

"I am a meat and potatoes woman and this place fulfills my wants for both. The food and service was great. I love prime rib and the Yorkshire pudding...silly me, I thought it was going to be an actual pudding. The best part is you can get seconds, for just a couple of bucks more they'll give you another (smaller) cut of prime rib. No doggy bags though...." Read more

"This place is, by far, my favorite restaurant. If I had a request for my last meal before I died, it would be a HOPR house cut prime rib, medium rare, with the REAL horseradish (not the cream stuff), with creamed spinach, and a loaded baked potato. Their salad is awesome. The Yorkshire pudding is divine. I've been here about 6 or 7 times since 2000, and..." Read more

"As my first restaurant review (of many to come), the House of Prime Rib easily has some of the best prime rib in the bay area. Value aside, you will not find prime rib much better than the HOPR. I've always had decent to exceptional service. The sides are enough to fill you up and the prime rib is exceptional."

"I long for House of Prime Rib. The best Prime Rib I have ever had. Very Focused menu (prime rib) and unlimited pleasure. It is a dining experience. Make reservations (try to do so a day in advance) or try your luck with waiting as a standby if you have to have prime rib and can't get a reservation. Slow methodical dining process so enjoy. Lots of English amb..." Read more

"So, last night, I went to the House of Prime Rib again. Last time I went, I waited a really long time and that was a Sunday. This time, on a Friday, I was expecting an even longer waited. Surprisingly, we waited less than five minutes for our table. Again, we were in the good room at a corner table. The food was delicious. I ordered exactly the same items a..." Read more

"The best prime rib by FAR. Hands down the BEST. Flavorful, tasty, and fresh (cut to order by a server carting around a whole prime rib) Don't hesitate, go there today... or whenever you feel like some prime rib! Service here is alos excellent!"

"Our waiter, John, was awesome. He reminded me of the 80s. I think it was his hair and big smile and general attitude. I had two dirty vodka martinis, so I felt like everything was pretty awesome. It was my friend's bday and the entire staff sang while giving him raspberry ice cream. Then they had all 11 of us pose in front of the fireplace and (while we sto..." Read more

"Hands down, by far, the best prime rib I've ever had. I've been coming here since 1994 and would hit up House of Prime Rib annually ever since. The portions are huge. The smallest cut, which is the "City Cut" is big enough. Plus, they always offer comp. seconds in case if the first piece isn't quite enough. All prime ribs come cuts comes with a large sal..."
