"I was really looking forward to trying this place. The Italian Homemade Company is in the old space that used to be A.G. Ferrari, which was a very polished Italian food store. The Italian Homemade Company is not polished. It is furnished with a hodgepodge of various styles of tables, chairs, and stools. We ordered our food from a counter, and everything..." Read more

"It's very rustic and family friendly! Hopefully you know the pasta lingo when you order (I didn't know that Tagliatelle was slightly thicker, longer pasta for example). The first time I was here, I got the pesto. It was *pure* pesto, and was actually milder of a flavor than I thought. I love pesto, but I wish it was saltier or less mild. Secon..." Read more

"Food is good, coffee is good but expensive. They still blast music at disco levels, so it is painful to sit inside the restaurant. The tables outside are very nice. Today, I lasted about 30 minutes before the music drove me out the door. It's astonishing to me that after many reviews complain about the music , they still don't do anything about it. ..." "I love Italian Homemade!! Such a gem in Berkeley, honestly. It's my favorite pasta place when I need some comfort food, and it's also perfect to take to-go. Seating can be a little challenging here if you're dining in, simply because the restaurant is popular with the locals and you seat yourself. (Also, there's a new sign posted that asks diners to..." "The best Italian food outside Italy. Pasta al dente, sauce simple and flavorful with quality ingreid. Good amount of sauce to pasta ratio with real parmegiano. The only pasta I have taken home where leftovers are just as enjoyable as eating fresh. Love the pesto, and the people. When you go to an Italian place and they speak Italian, you know it's legit. Man..." Read more

"So delicious, my friend and I can here for dinner on a Saturday evening. It was packed but we were able to quickly find a seat. I ordered the Fettuccine with White sauce and she ordered the Tagliatelle with Pesto. Both were so good! I will definitely be back to try more."

"This place is my go to after work when I'm starving because I skipped lunch (yet again) or craving pasta. I love the tagliatelle with bolognese, it's the best. Even my 3 year old loves it, so you know it's good. The staff is super friendly and the food usually doesn't take too long to come out."

"Great spot for exceptional pasta served up speedily. This is an order-at-the-counter restaurant serving all kinds of freshly homemade pasta and a verity of sauces. You can mix and match 5-6 types of pasta with 5-6 types of sauces and create your own dish. They also have regular daily specials with an unique noodle and different sauce. Such as..." Read more

"I was so excited to visit here after my trip to Italy. Sadly it was a huge disappointment. I ordered the egg pasta with sausage, Parmesan and truffle and I'm still stunned to say it had no flavor. I could not taste the truffle at all, the sausage had no flavor, was grey and bland, the sauce was some kind of cream sauce also without flavor. I still don't know..." Read more

"I liked the food here. But it was super noisy and the vibe was too chaotic for me. You have to stalk tables to try to sit when it's busy. There's very little room to navigate around tables to get forks, napkins or all the other self service stuff. And worst of all....no wine. I barely understand what to do with  pasta without wine. That said, I'm going to tr..." Read more
