"Very disappointed with this place. The wait for food took 45 minutes and the employees there look like they don't even want to be there. The pasta was very over cooked and the sauce was quite bland. The salad was full of balsamic vinegar and that was all I could taste. The music was also very loud in the restaurant."

"GREATLY OVERRATED! Absolutely nothing special about the pasta. The sauces for the pasta are mediocre at best. The lamb Raghu is watery and far from a Raghu sauce. The pasta tastes like homemade pasta from someone who is trying to make pasta for the first time. The cold sandwich is a thin piece of flare bread with slices of tomorrow and mozzarella! Not..." "Ordered take out to share among six of us. The best is veggie ravioli with sage butter. Meat lasagna was very tasty and filling with loads of meat. Gnocchi with pesto sauce was good if you don't mind the heavy sauce. pappardelle with sage butter was bland."

"While Italian restaurants remain as one of Berkeley's most prolific cuisines, I've found that the vast majority are just decent at the very least, nothing remarkable nor noteworthy. The Italian Homemade Company is no exception. The establishment is truly no-frills with both its self-serve water station and counter service manned by indifferent colleg..." Read more

"Just so so. The sauces lack flavor. We had a caprese salad and the tomatoes were tasteless, at the height of tomato season. They don't seem to prioritize quality. And they don't have wine or beer. Sorry, but eating pasta without a glass of red wine is nuts. The deli that was there before sold bottles of wine. Too bad they don't.Our party's food came out at..." Read more

"This place is really bad. I would not go back. They refrigerate the tomato's so they have no flavor and are mushy. The meat ravioli has no flavor or any stuffing. The best part was the burrata by itself and we took it off the salad to eat by itself."

"Not bad but not good. Serving sizes are kinda small, and the pasta is fairly basic. It's great that it's handmade pasta and all, but I don't really taste the quality. 1. Squid Ink Pasta -- specialty item on the menu. Made our stomach feel weird and tasted super fishy. 2. Lasagna -- best bang for your buck, but the flavor gets too monotonous after..." Read more

"Great place to go with kids! No frills counter service but they bring the food to you after ordering. Quick, cheapish, and delish. My 6 yo loved the pasta with Parmesan cheese sauce and the tiramisu."

"Server Jaren was super rude to me and my friend when we asked him for recommendations as he rolled his eyes at us and scoffed. Furthermore, after belittling me and my friends, he suggested a MID pesto pasta. Unfortunately, due to the rude staff and okay food, I will not be coming back here."

"If you're hungry and not looking for ambiance this is a great spot to grab lunch or quick dinner. While I have been to the North Beach location several times, this is my first time at the SF location.Pick a sauce, pick a fresh house made pasta. Add cheese done. They don't have any veggies. Unless it's like spinach ravioli. It's fresh, simple,..." Read more

"I came here with my partner when we were craving some Italian food, and I ordered a veggie ravioli with white sauce, while they ordered tagliatelle with pasticciata, which is bechamel sauce with bolognese. We got parmesan cheese on both. Our order was ready for pickup on time, with quick friendly service by the staff.Though I thought the green color..." Read more

"Surprisingly great value! You can watch them make the pasta. I'm a huge fan of super wide handmade noodles, which are hard to find in the US, and these were perfect. The white sauce (bechamel cream and butter) also struck a great balance between flavorful and light. If I went to Berkeley, I'd go here all the time.
