"Last week colleagues of mine (Including 1 Brazilian) and I went to the best Brazilian restaurant, yet. It is simply called "Muqueca" and is located in Cambridge, MA. We went through quite a list of excellent foods: muqueca (Fish stew - Bahian style with coconut milk), farofa (Roasted yuca flour), frog-legs, dried meat, yuca, fried plantains etc."

"This place is very unique for the area and they serve various fish dishes in a clay pot. The food is well prepared and the selection is large. You can usually share one of the classic pot dishes between two people (don't need to overdo by going to the larger size). Service is good and the staff is always friendly. Consider reservations if going for dinner."

"Amazing, can't believe I had muqueca so far from home. Just perfect, came with a group of twelve friends from all over the globe, and they loved."

"Got take out, and it was phenomenal. The people there were very nice, it was a little pricey, but definitely worth it. 5/5 is a well deserved grade. I love it!!"

"This is not your typical Brazilian fare (meat, meat and maybe a little rice and beans on the side), but it is divine. I'm not a big seafood fan, but I love their muqueca (Brazilian fish stew) more than almost any other restaurant dish. We finally convinced my oldest son, a picky eater, to try the muqueca. He said, "Mom, I don't like tomatoes or fish, but I'l..." Read more

"Love their fish stew. I've never had it before this place and can't believe I've missed out. I keep coming back for their cod cakes and try the fried yucca with dry meat. This is my go to ALL the time! Passion fruit caipirinha is essential since it's not too sweet and a little sour Also - go with a group (like 3+) The food does take a while to come out so m..." "I had the shrimp muqueca and frankly it was nothing more than a mix of water, salt, tomatoes, onion, and shrimp. For $20 I would've expected more. After finishing the meal I was still hungry and had to order another side of rice. Then I was crazy thirsty all night and the next morning I weighed 3 lbs heavier because of the sodium. Disappointed and confused b..." Read more

"Went here for dinner and was more than satisfied. Most Brazilian restaurants in the area are Churrisquerias, so it's refreshing to experienced more nuanced versions of Brazilian cuisine. The service is really gracious-it's obvious that the management really takes pride and pleasure in what they do. The menu is more seafood heavy and the muquecas are excellen..." Read more

"It's in kind of an odd location and the decor is dated and mismatched, but the food is delicious and they clearly take pride in their traditional dishes."
