"The service was great and so was the juice. My steak was a tad stringy and overcooked, but the seasoning and presentation was very well done."

"I was so disappointed. I love Brazilian food and this was a strong miss. The food tasted like corn starch. I suspect the real reviews are hidden. Sorry."

"Great food. Big servings. Yummy drinks at reasonable prices (caipirinha). We had a fish and shrimp moqueca (Bahia style - added coconut milk) that was really good and enough to share. Coconut shrimp appetizer had nice breading and tasty dipping sauce. Also had the feijoda, which has really tender pork and great fried sweet plantains."

"This place is ridiculously good. Is been three days since I ate there and I am still craving the taste of their Picanha. It is an unbelievably savory piece of red meat served with rice fries and black beans. If you like the spicy stuff you can put some of their house hot sauce on it which is just as delicious. I'm not big into seafood but my mother, cousin a..." Read more

"The first time I went to the restaurant was okay, but my second experience was not quite well. I asked for a Fried Red Snapper, that was priced in the menu as "marked price". It took me more than 45 minutes to get my plate. The fish was very bad. It smelt terrible and I could not eat it because of the strong flavor. With appetizer, two people's bill was $65,..." "Muqueca is located on the strip of Cambridge St., where I was told, lots of hip restaurants to eat. Muqueca is also well known by many MIT and Harvard students as the place to order their authentic traditional caipirinha (Brazilian hillbilly drink). I suggest ordering their side of plantains. Their Feijoada ComPleta is a Brazilian National Dish and really g..." Read more

"Everything I have tried here has been fantastic. From the Shrimp Bobo, to the Moqueca, you can't miss. Also, the juices are wonderful and pair well with the clay pot dishes. Don't forget to add a little of the home made hot sauce (in moderation!)"

"Delicious and something different among Boston's otherwise bland default food, albeit a little overpriced."

"Can't say enough about how good this place is. We've lived in the area for a while and have walked by it remarking to ourselves, "This place looks interesting", but never had the motivation to walk in. Well, tonight we decided to give it a try. Dude.. it was outrageously good. We had the moqueca, a plate of veggies, and flan for dessert. All amazing. F..." Read more

"Tiny little place that none of the locals seem to know about. If there's large parties the servers can be a little overwhelmed. Just be patient. Everything we tried here was good. Had the traditional caipirinha aka Brazilian hillbilly drink. Most of the dishes come with sides such as rice and plantains. Had a beef dish and shrimp and fish dish. Both v..." Read more

"So good! Seated right away on a Saturday night. Got the muquequa completa, yucca fries, cod cakes, and a caipirinha and it was bomb! The flavors were great. The stews are perfect comfort food for brisk New England autumns and cold winters. My only negative is that although tasty the food was pretty salty. I like my food aggressively seasoned, but this was gi..." Read more

"First of all, I'm Brazilian. And I'm very picky when I eat my home food abroad. I've been here a couple of times, and this place doesn't disappoint me. It's easy to get a table during lunch, but it gets crowded at night. yes, get a reservation. Ok, let's start with the food. For appetizers, the Brazilian crab cake is good, but it's a simple portion. "Fabulous food, amazing service and one of my favorite places in the county. We've been there for evening, lunch and it is always consistent. My favorite are the scallops baked on the half shell. "The Shrimp Bobo is fantastic. It's made with yucca, which is made into a kind of a cream. Out of this world. The side dishes are very reasonably priced. For example, $3.50 I think it was for broccoli and carrots. We also had the fried yucca, which is very much like potatoes -- outstanding! For dessert the "manjar coco n tapioca" is sweet and luscious,..." Read more
