"This is, by far, the best restaurant I've tried on Pier 39 and I've been to quite a few there as I used to work across the street. I came here tonight because I have a family member visiting from out of town and their tour trip brought them here. I wasn't excited about eating on the Pier but this place impressed me.The garlic bread and crab cake ap..." Read more

"It's good, the beef ravioli tasted good and the service was decent. I didn't like the guy at the front desk when we came in....I thought he was really cocky, but once we were seated our service was excellent. Not a 5 star place in my books, but 3/5 ain't bad!"

"This restaurant is located on Pier 39 and offers a wide spectrum of different types of food ranging from Italian to seafood options. My friend had a giant seafood stew that looked amazing. I wish I had gotten that. I was in the mood for salad and pizza and both were great. The portion sizes were awesome. I would rather have more food than to leave hungry so..." Read more

"Friends and I went to Swiss Louis' and LOVED our waiter, Daniel B! The view was great (could see the sea lions). Food was pretty good for a tourist spot. Had a carafe of wine (which was very large and tasty)."

"FYI: if you have more than 5 people in your group, they charge a 17% gratuity fee, plus another 3.75% tax is for a locality reason. This restaurant is located towards the end of all the shops. We (7 adults, 3 kids) ended up coming here because it was too windy to actually walk down the pier with the kids and go to our usual clam chowder spots. I thou..." Read more

"Highlights:Marvelous viewSuperb serviceTasty Free dessert thanks to Yelp check in!Lowlight:A bit pricey for the quantity, but standard given the tourist locationI'm not usually one for drifting into the touristy areas for food, given the endless options throughout the rest of the city. "The waiter was not so attentive. However, the food was just so amazing. And, the view from the restaurant window was incredible. :) I got Red Snapper. It was delicious. I liked the sweet sauce. The steamed savory veggies that come with it was awesome too. You should try going there early to get a table since they are first come first served without any name..." Read more

"I've been to several restaurants at the pier and I don't think I will come back to Swiss Louis. Instead of asking if we needed high chairs for the two toddlers in the strollers, we were greeted with "would you like to start off with some drinks" while we were struggling to settle down. We ordered two dungeness crab meals, no crab crackers and trash b..." Read more

"Money better spent elsewhere. This is mostly a review of the bar area. I know Pier 39 is a tourist trap and was not keen on eating there, but I saw "Happy Hour" and decided that for $5 for wine was worth it.Well, the $5 wine is just about the only thing that is worth it.The clam chowder had good richness, but it was mostly cream...." "Came here for the first time last week, and had a good experience overall. The wait staff was great and the food was not too shabby themselves. I had the fried calamari entree, which was a gigantic portion, served with both tartar sauce and cocktail sauce. My GF had their crab enchilada, which was delicious! A nice take on a traditional Mexican dish, I high..." Read more
