"The food was mediocre at best, I am more disturbed about my experience after my meal. I went to the host and asked directions for the restroom. He directed me outside the restaurant to the public restrooms. To give some context, I am a third generation Chinese American female in my 50's. The host was a Caucasian male. Imagine my surprise when I learned..." Read more

"This restaurant is very interesting because of the atmosphere and view. the food choices are not standard but makes them stand out under Italian and seafood. having seafood right from the coast taste better and is fresh. It is always a benefit to the consumer to dine at a place that is different in a good way yet intriguing at the same time. because you can..." Read more

"I could have missed this restaurant when visiting Pier 39, and I wanted change. Was with the hubby's and our two teenagers. We love different variety in ethnic foods. So we thought to give this place a try. I like that we can see out into the San Francisco ocean, everything is open, nice spacious restaurant. It's was so beautiful that day, the food is delici..." "Hubby's plans of eating at Bubba Gump's on Pier 39 were foiled again. Only because he foiled them himself. He decided that since we were in San Francisco, we were going to try out a restaurant we've never been to before. Swiss Louis had an awesome view and when hubby read on the menu that there was frutti de mare, there was no changing his mind. He h..." Read more

"Perfect window table overlooking the marina exuded a relaxing ambiance complemented with great food. Swiss Louis is one of the go-to restaurants in Pier 39. On a first come first serve basis it's always good to line up before they open at 11am to pick the table you want. The staff is customer friendly and service is prompt. We ordered Linguini Mussels and Cl..." Read more

"Agree with another reviewer that this is expensive for mediocre food. Crab cakes were not good. My husband's seafood platter was poor quality. My daughters fettuccine alfredo was good but watery.
Desserts were very good!"

"Not worth the price for mediocre food. No wonder the place is more than half empty on a Sunday before Valentines Day!
Go somewhere else!"

"Enjoyed our experience very much. Seated right away to preference. Decor was superb and great views. Food was amazing. Flavors on point and we enjoyed our dinner. Big portions of food. We ordered sourdough bread on the side, plus chicken parmigiana and pesto linguine. The food was amazing to taste. We also had a bottle of Prosecco. We asked for a splash of r..." Read more

"I wanted to love this restaurant I really did. Amazing location (window views of sea lions sun bathing on piers). Beautiful decor for the winter holidays. The downside - the food. Felt like it was trying very hard to be high end food but wasn't hitting the mark. Ordered two starters - crab cakes and mozzarella. The crab cakes were eh ok but having them at ot..." Read more

"Beautifully decorated for Christmas. Great views right on the water front. The food was delicious and reasonably priced for a restaurant along the waterfront. I highly recommend the Baked Salmon and my wife loved the Chicken Marsala."

"On our stroll of Pier 39, we came across Swiss Louis. I have to be honest, I thought it was a little stuffy restaurant for such a carefree location, but we wanted to try something "different". The dining area had a beautiful view. My photos don't do it justice. The atmosphere was very nice and relaxing. We had fresh oysters on the half shell,..." Read more

"Dined here for the view. Got seated immediately.
Cocktails were cheaply made. Food was mediocre at best. $100+ for a dinner of two.
Didn't finish our meals. Walked back and grabbed pizza by the slice for $5 to fill us up.
Wouldn't recommend."

"As soon as we entered, the host asked us for our card. I was like what card? He replied our vaccination cards or we cannot eat there. I was like wtf and my bf cussed him out for even asking that since he's owned several restaurants. Technically it is a violation of hipaa law to disclose my medical info. I understand we went thru a pandemic and it might be ex..." Read more

"You only pay for the nice SF view, other than that the food is nothing or of the ordinary. They charge you for everything! Including the bread they give you while you wait to be served. Not worth your money. A tiny pizza cost almost 20 dlls! I do not recommend this place"

"Great place to go by pier 39! Got the linguine pasta with clams and it was a 10/10 very saucy but very light. The staff and the atmosphere was very nice. Has very nice views of the ocean if you sit outside and is also very romantic. If you go wanna have a nice dinner with friends or even a one on one this place is to go!"

"Racial discrimination!
We arrived at dinner time and asked to be seated inside. The host explained that the inside seating was not available. They sat us outside. When we were leaving we stopped at the restroom and found dozens other of White families seated inside. Ridiculous! Never go here again."
